if it's made from steel, it can be fixed.
  6. looks good on the outside. what's the substructure going to be?
  7. indeed it is it's going to be crazy cool when it's done thoughts for the front?
  8. do make sure that you integrate a drain hole in your new rockers.
  9. a fram filter collapsed internally and stole all my oil pressure at idle a bunch of years ago. Didn't realize what the issue was (I feared some sort of internal engine failure but it made mo noises and didn't leak any oil) and was on a trip so I just kinda dealt with it and 3-pedaled it ti always keep the idle up a bit for a few days til I got home. once I changed the filter all was magically well again.
  10. arguably the HO harness is more reliable since it includes scores of updates and upgrades over the AMC wiring harness. But the first step is seeing what you've got to work with. keep us posted
  11. assuming I remember, yes.
  12. sounds like part of your issue could be a bad ground at the drivers side taillight. the fuel pump and the brake lights ground to the same spot back there. also I moved your topic to Tech so more eyes will see it.
  13. send me a message with a name/address
  14. what you have now will surely dictate the easiest course of action. the HO swap is pretty straightforward. remove everything from MJ, install everything from XJ. there are some hiccups, but nothing that hasn't been tackled many times before.
  15. did they carefully remove the engine and trans? or did they snip a bunch of vital wires and crush the fuel lines?
  16. you'll need to source a 4wd manual trans, that's all. what are the plans for the truck?
  17. that is a lot of lift. this is going to be awesome!
  18. that was a factory option
  19. what you need to do to the truck depends on what you want to do with the truck. Have you thought about hitting up car shows?
  20. 10w30 full synthetic is the new guideline from Chrysler, but the old oil spec will also work as long as it's not the synchro eating GL-5. where's that update?
  21. nice! are the bumper lights on a separate switch?
  22. ahhh, the assembly phase. when a project really start coming together. (literally!)
