  1. couple weeks back I rescued a box of vinyl from a neighbors trash. up first is LedZepp 2 edit: dang. so grandma's old record player is gradually slowing down. haven't adjusted one of these things in like 2 decades. wish me luck! update: the motor is shot. dang. anyone got a motor for a rando record player from the late 80s?
  2. neat!
  3. have you done the valve cover mods to reduce the oil coming out?
  4. gotcha. then I wish you good luck on your hunt! you should also post up in the Tech section as it's possible someone has a parts manual that goes beyond Jeep. (I have an 87-90 manual but it only covers the radios found in the Jeeps)
  5. damn dude. not the time for smashing your digits. truck looks fantastic though have you thought about a traction bar?
  6. even if all the drawings get copied and inserted into the lead post? It requires a bit more work, but allows for a free flow of discussion but you don't have to peruse anything but the first post to get the info.

I'm also a big fan of the Knorr side dishes and using them as a base for a casserole. cook the rice, then add whatever big chunks of goodness you'd like (chicken, veggies, etc). today I added chopped polish sausage to a creamy chicken rice because, well, that's what I've got on hand. tastes great!
  8. part number should be on the radio if you can partially remove it from the dash.
  9. Awesome truck! what a survivor I do hope that new bumps stops are on your list.
  10. what year/model of car is it in? love that factory equalizer!
  11. I fixed a leaky tire for my cousin yesterday that I didn't know was a problem until I got there, but that's an easy one since lots of people carry repair kits and floor jacks and impact guns. or maybe they don't. they should. I also carry a bag just for doing brakes because, yes, I've arrived at someone's house and in conversation they complained of brake squeal and I ended up doing their pads. a bit more of the specialty tools, but that's why I have them if I need them. same with minor drywall repairs. or plumbing. or electrical work. but the other day I found these on the bottom of the dealership sign and yes, by chance, I had the proper tool. (I forgot to add a quarter for scale, but believe me, those are friggin' giant flathead screws! the bit goes on a half-inch socket)
  12. yeah, the "Olympic Edition" is just not the same thing.
  13. just be careful about the shackles inverting when coming down onto the tires.
  14. that's a heck of a milestone! all the kudos to you
  15. there's a thread in the link in my signature that has a lot of bolt specs. if what you seek isn't there, please include it once you find out.
  16. is it possible to look up any sort of details from the VIN, or is it too old?
  17. this is probably how it would work best given our constraints being a forum. Discussions can probably be allowed as long as the first post continually gets updated with the new files as they become available. @ghetdjc320, would you like to start one? that way you can help organize everything into the first post as new ones come in.
  18. that should never stop you from sharing the story
  19. yeah, you definitely need to start a build thread so we can see all the details
  20. you mean beyond the link in my signature?
  21. moving over to tech so more eyeballs will see this.
  22. yeah, that realization hit me kinda hard last year. He was my friend for nearly 2 decades and I never shook his hand. and so I've made it a point to visit as many of my fellow CC members as I can! Even made a 4k mile trip last fall and met 20 or so members along the way.
