  1. best bet is skimming though the Epic Tech subforum. lots of chevy swaps in there, but each has varying degrees of detail. https://comancheclub.com/forum/41-mj-hardcore-tech-epic-journeys-to-greatness/
  2. this is a smart move. grab what you can find and make it work.
  3. is that weird perforated leather stuff still available? it's gotta be right if you're doing a resto.
  4. squish some tweeter pods in the corners of the dash. no holes to cut.
  5. I run an 8" Solo Baric sub that's old enough to drink. rated for like a billion watts and is all I've ever wanted in a subwoofer. give me epic bass, but without sacrificing all my storage. It's in the Liberty now, but started life in the MJ back in like 98? it's old for sure. I'm feeding it several hundred watts right now. the amp is a cheap mono amp so I doubt it's spitting out the 1000+ that it claims. meh. still works great. buy quality, feed it all the power it can take, and you don't need dual 12s eating all your valuable storage space. or, if you're just looking for a bit of oomph to the songs without sharing with the rest of the neighborhood, any ol' 8" woofer in a small box will make you smile. you don't need to spend a ton because the cab is ridiculously small. you'll feel it for sure. just don't buy any speaker made of paper. not even sure if that still is a thing in the aftermarket, but just in case.
  6. love that old bedliner
  7. I had 6x9s in individual boxes (in lieu of 4x6s in the b-pillar) back there and eventually removed them because they added nothing to my system (door component speakers + subwoofer, all fed lots of power). I just don't see what little speakers are going to do when 6x9s fed tons of watts turned out to be completely redundant. ymmv I'm not saying don't put 4x6s in there, I'm saying don't go crazy trying to finagle anything else back there if you have a subwoofer. you won't hear them.
  8. my bad. upon closer examination it clearly says "made in korea" on the back. good catch!
  9. holy crap! I don't even have a use for them and yet half the price of a used pair makes me suddenly want them! nice find!
  10. edit: deleted link since it's made in korea

    AMC Mudflaps

price, price, price. also the quality of them, but I'm assuming that will be great.
  13. ahh, back in the day when the front clip actually came off as a unit.
  14. I would do front speakers and then tie the rear channels of the amp into a small subwoofer. subwoofer > 4x6s
  15. from my experience, tiny speakers behind your butt don't add much of anything to the sound.
  16. that'll get the truck to scoot, that's for sure
  17. I'll bring a wheelchair for ya.
  18. I too shall be sleeping inside of whatever I drive there. I'm assuming at one of the local CC guys' houses.

  20. made it as the background for the CC FB page.
  21. that's what we're all hoping nice, boring "all is well" updates.
