  1. not at this moment, but maybe later. been burned a couple times in a row with other items and I guess I'm a little gun shy to mail away my babies.
  2. those seats look absolutely luxurious!
  3. very nice but I can't help but notice there's no shot of the back seat?
  4. do you have an oil pressure gauge? (specifically one that you trust?) too thin or too thick might show on the gauge.
  5. I put a downturn right at the muffler. super simple and can't get smacked by rocks or logs.
  6. oooooo! merc diesel!
  7. that definitely needs a separate writeup for the DIY. people need to know these things are fixable!
  8. I think there's a writeup in the link in my signature. and yeah, it is that easy. hardest part is usually getting the old stuff out if it's rusted or original.
  9. it's so cool that it's almost too cool. like, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to get gas again without drawing a crowd. lol 10 out of 10!
  10. nice has he eaten any of the wires in your truck yet? that accelerates the hate.
  11. only for some aftermarket flares.
  12. did you send them photos? because that clearly doesn't work.
  13. I prefer "caretaker". (who happens to also pay the bills)
  14. the version that came on CJs is weak because of the weird 2-piece shaft design. MJs don't have that problem and it is on par with the dana 44.
  15. colored smoke for the win

technically it said 20gal, but that's definitely not right and thus far all sheets that said 20 (that I've been able to confirm with owners) have been 23s, so I change it to that.
  17. but what exactly is the purpose of that? it just feels to me like you're ruining the bed so you can protect the bed. I guess if the bed is already pretty rusty it'll hide all that, but it'll also trap dirt/moisture/salt between the new and old steel and likely accelerate the rust.
  18. ahhhh... from a percentage-of-total-miles-driven-each-year it seems to me like a 30 year exemption would make more sense. how many late 70s rigs can there possibly be still on the roads?
  19. a victory with minor complications is still a victory! Enjoy the fruits of your labors!
  20. life seems to always be... complicated. I find a bit of solace in the consistency of my Jeeps. (consistently needing work, but consistency none the less. lol)
  21. biggest tips I've read about installation is let it warm up in the sun first, then start in the middle and work out. also, don't cut any of the edges until you happy with everything.
  22. they are only available used.
  23. yay! does Cali have any sort of age cutoff for emissions tests? I can't imagine a whole lot of 1950s cars can pass one.
