  1. You're somehow getting an URL tag with the pic. The result you're looking for is:
  2. In MJs you have to shift into "3" to turn the OD off.
  3. You may need the 23 spline t-case too.
  4. If I remember right, the power/comfort switch mearly changes the shift points.
  5. 3.55 gears. It's what was in the Dana 44 already, is the most common ratio available in XJs, and happens to be a great match for 31" tires and a 4.0/stick. The stars just aligned and picked it for me. :D
  6. Maybe at the Chrysler headquarters in Michigan? :dunno:
  7. I'm not sure what I want. All I know is that the bitmaps are too pixilated and they need to be converted to Vector Art, or with Vector Art or something like that. That way they can be enlarged with no loss of quality. The converted files are AI files. Oh, and the stuff you see online aren't the big bitmaps of course. I'd have to mail those to you. The colors are dirt simple. The canadian one is red and black and the other one is green and black. The big kicker is that I need them put together and then sized to fit on a 10"x3" bumper sticker. The sticker shop expects to get the finished image. Email me if you want to give a shot at it. :D petermontie@hotmail.com
  8. Finally!! Some progress worthy of a picture. :D The original 210k mile AX-15 with the 95 external-slave bellhousing and 93 NP-242. Can't afford a newer tranny, so this one will do for now. The assembly is now bolted in the truck. Still working on the axles. Classes are sucking up most of my life right now.:smart: This is my MJ Dana 44 left over from the 88 MJ: And my 99 XJ Dana 30:
  9. I'm no expert on the shirt industry, but only 43 people wanted stickers so I can't imagine too many would want shirts. Plus not everyone wears the same size and the images need to be of sufficient quality to be blown up that big. Later this week I'll stop be the idiots down the street and see what he says. Oh, and there's no such thing as one-size-fits-all hats. :(
  10. One is in the Chrysler museum.
  11. It's bolt-in if you buy the right parts. Do your homework. I personally wouldn't buy a whole XJ for parts seeing as you'll be stuck with either stock gearing, or a trans that doesn't match (all depends on what you have now). What are you looking for in the end? That will help us help you figure out what the best parts would be.
  12. My 2wd 88 was armed with a stick shift and 30" BFGs and I would stay up late or get up early in order to play in the snow covered roads before the plows came by. :D Good tires, a bit of weight (right above or in front of the rear tires and secured) and some skills will go a long way on flat snowy roads. Deepest snow was about 8-10 inches. Oh, and don't put bags of salt in the bed.
  13. Yup, they are indeed CPS bolts. They are left over, not becasue I forgot about the CPS (I had that installed before installing the trans into the truck), but because my new external slave bellhousing came with its own CPS bolts. D'oh! :shake:
  14. 2.5 + 4 speed manual = 3.55
  15. Hard to say... It doesn't have axles yet.
  16. I've got a 23 spline 231 that came out of this rig...
  17. I've always tried to be more subtle. I have our addy in all my sigs and try to answer questions by referencing specific threads here when possible. Heck, I still can't seem to get some of the guys from the Yahoo group to switch over.
  18. It just means you have to get a t-case with the new tranny.
  19. :hmm: These were in the baggie containing the bellhousing-to-engine bolts. :dunno: Not a clue what they go to and they may not go to the bellhousing at all. There's 2 of them and they are about 1.25" long. (yeah, I know. It looks big in the pick, but they are just little things) Ahh, the joys of working on vehicles...
  20. in XJs.
  21. My 90 is 23 spline.
  22. 91 AX-15 would be 23 spline.
  23. If you think that's weird, my 88 doesn't turn forward.
  24. A better method is to look up at the inside surface of the outer steel from behind and in front of the rear tires. The inside surface will start rusting and spread outward long before the rust penetrates the steel and is visible from the outside. this is the best pic I could find. It's looking from in front of the rear tire and you can kinda see the reddish area where the rust is spreading.
  25. Ok, so I'm sick of waiting for the guy at my dad's office to vectorize the army and canadian MJ images so I can get them printed into stickers. Now I find out he's on vacation for a couple weeks. Grrr..... Anyone here that can get that done for free or next to free? :brows:
