  1. As if that's the only place my engines leak... :teehee:
  2. Woo Hoo! My WJ lower control arms arrived!
  3. Picked up these rubber washers at the hardware store. :D Not one of my MJs came to me with a gasket there. Now they all have one. No more cranking hard on the drain plug to seal it up.
  4. car-part.com shows the disconnect through 93. :dunno: I often wonder where they get all the info they have.
  5. You'll need to make sure both the inner and outer shafts accept the 297s. They are bigger than the stock MJ 260s. Dana 44 sized. :D
  6. This is available out there somewhere, right? Autozone and Murrys don't seem to carry anything bigger than 4' lengths. Going to try NAPA later today. Since it seems I have to do the ends myself using the current fittings (from the 95 XJ master and prop), I'd prefer not to buy the expensive straight lengths that come with fittings I don't need.
  7. I assume you mean 4.56? That should be good for a 2.5L and 31s. Personally I go right to 4.88s, but that's just me. :D I prefer deep gears over driving 80 mph.
  8. Yeah, but then he won't have the atlas for the next truck. :D
  9. You need to swap in new seal with the new solid axle. Now's the time to get both shafts and get ones with the bigger U-joints. :D Cause bigger is better. http://www.madxj.com/MADXJ/technical/te ... dSeals.htm
  10. The 2.5Ls are very sensitive to increases in tire size. Also, make sure your cat isn't plugged up.
  11. I've thought about that, but felt it was too much a a pain to our members just to weed out the occasional spammer. Plus sometimes they're a little entertaining! I wonder where he got his Engynering degree?
  12. I'm not even sure I could fit one in the bed. :hmm:
  13. I've heard nothing but good stuff concerning the OME shocks. :D
  14. I got a laugh out of his listed profession: "Pharmacy Engyner" :teehee:
  15. :ack:
  16. No Jeep 231 is "vacuum actuated". The t-case is lever actuated and has a switch in it that sends vaccum from the engine to the front axle, which is vacuum actuated.
  17. Take the cover off, slide the collar over, install cover upside down. I heard about that a while ago and someday I might get a chance to try that on my own axle. :D
  18. Been my wallpaper since the day I returned home from the trip. :D I have a larger version if anyone really wanted a pic of my 2 leading ladies on their 'puter. :hmm: :teehee:
  19. All grade 8 bolts, some bigger than others. :D

    Hacked huh

    Seems we were a minor trophy. http://www.zone-h.org/component/option, ... croconile/
  21. I used 4" wide, 1/4" thick bar stock for all my bumper mounts with a bend to mate to the bumper. This pic was taken before I added the 3/4" bolt in that forward-most hole. I used part of the stock bracket to make the spacer to clear the shackle plate. This is my front bumper being mocked up. All the final welding was done by a pro.
  22. Simple and strong. :D
