  1. They rust from the inside out, so take care to clean the little shelf inside the fender and above the wheelwell. It can collect dirt and that can retain moisture.
  2. What is the quality of that image?
  3. Trimmed the front: Trimmed the back just a little: And when that isn't quite enough, the tires will do some trimming of their own:
  4. If you think you have a BA-10 in your 86 Cherokee, I'd love to see a picture. :brows:
  5. This should make your life a bit easier.
  6. Don't sweat it, we all had to start at the beginning. :D
  7. Yeah. That little sensor on the bellhousing. It is of the utmost importance to convincing the computer to creat a spark.
  8. Right there..... /\ ....................... | ....................... | ....................... |
  9. Too difficult to click on the PM button under my posts? :hmm:
  10. What's the minimum order?
  11. sigh... you guys and your post counting... :hmm:   :fool:
  12. I would stick with 33s (they fit in the wheel wells much better and are not as hard on the drivetrain), get the bigger U-joints (and axleshafts) from a later model XJ or TJ to put in your Dana 30, and don't forget about gearing to match those big tires.
  13. My 90 MJ has a 23 spline. That's all I know for sure. :hmm:
  14. IIRC = If I Recall Correctly...
  15. The V6 and 4 cylinder engines share manual transmissions. The 4.0L uses different manual transmissions. Essentially they are not interchangeable. It is technically possible to use the bellhousing from a Dakota to adapt the AX-15 from a 4.0L to the 2.5L engine, but it's not exactly a straightforward swap.
  16. And then he'd buy an 8.8 from me. :D
  17. Um, yes? I don't recommend it. It was supposed to be temporary but it's held up so far (and the plates were welded to the axle before the trip to Moab). The Bronco pads are there underneath the shock pads and the shock pads bridge the gap. The proper procedure would have been to remove the Bronco pads and weld on new ones, but oh well. :dunno:
  18. I think the real question is, does your prop valve work? I ask because I've owned 4 MJs now and not one of them had a functioning prop. :hmm:
  19. I used the stock shock mounts and cut them to fit around the axle tube.
  20. Did somebody say 12 tons? :brows: Harbor Frieght had them on sale a few weeks back. Here they are next to a teeny tiny 3 ton stand (and a roll of paper towels apparently).
  21. I'm not even trying to be funny. The MJ wheel wells were designed for 235/15 tires and it would take a huge amount of lift to clear 36s without any rubbing on the stock flares. It's hard to play golf with a basketball.
  22. Smaller tires? :dunno:
  23. I got my 9" U-bolts from broncograveyard.com $28 for a set IIRC
  24. Gasket leak at the intake manifold?
