  1. 👍 I bought this from dirt bound off road before they went out of business but I haven’t had time to put it on yet
  2. Finally got to drive the MJ again. Posting a few progress pics. I ended up installing super duty axles and 38's
  3. Looking through this post I still have this truck too!
  4. !986 X 4X4 Originally had 2.5 with automatic, currently 1994 4.0L AW4 NP 231 Originally had D30 D35 now 1995 Isuzu D44 rear and 86 waggy d44 build date is missing I'm working on getting it back on the road very soon. Last time it was registered was 2009, I have owned it since 2005. Located in Dallas NC
  5. Thanks, I'll try to post the progress!
  6. I still have this Comanche 18 years later, I'm working on setting it up for mostly trail use but I will be able to drive it to the trails. I have 4.88 gears, air lockers, long arms and 36" SS Irocs with bead locks. Axles are d44 from an Isuzu rodeo and d44 from a grand wagoneer ( still on the bench). It has been off the road since 2009. Plan is to build some kind of flat bed with roll bar.
  7. Just buy a 4x4 xj they are really cheap when wrecked. I did the swap on mine several years ago. Bought a 1994 xj 4.0 4x4 for 200 it was wrecked. Every part you need to swap it you can take off the cherokee. Let me know if you need some info. No you don't need to cut firewall. Just swap header panel.
  8. Yeah thats about what I was thinking. Just wanted a second opinion.

  10. I'm having to sell my 86 comanche. I bought an 2003 tj so the wife says its got to go. I'm wanting to know what to ask for it. It has an 1994 4.0l aw4 and 231j. It has a dana 44 rear with disc brakes. 5.5" rubicon express lift with 4.56 gears. I repaired the floor boards and replaced the carpet. Body is in good shape except dent in rear of bed that I banged out with a hammer. It has 33s with like new black soft 8 wheels. It has 154000 miles on engine. I will post some picks of it soon.
  11. At auto zone and advance a new 1 is $350 and a reman is 260 minimum. I have a 1994 xj engine in my comanche. It must be a different compressor than yours was using. That is a lot of money for a truck I drive once a week. Guess thats why I haven't tried to fix it and I've had it 3 years. If you know of a cheaper place let me know. Thanks
  12. I was going by this http://jeephorizons.com/tech/ac_recharge.html I was wanting to know if it was easier to replace the bearing or just try another compressor from the junk yard. They are only 20.00 at the pull a part. Thanks for the input.
  13. Where is a good place to get the bilstein shocks? Thanks for the info.
