    Gas Prices?

Screw dat. I'd rather grab a cheap 2.5L MJ. The savings from not having a monthly payment alone would pay for more gas than I could burn. :D
  2. I can now get just about anything shipped for $100-120. But I think I'm limited to the US. :(

    RTI ramping

No score, but I did get to use a cool ramp. :D Never been on a man-made ramp before. :(

    Gas Prices?

Diesel is holdin' pretty steady. :D Regular gas runs from $3.20-3.50 around me.

    Co2 tanks?

    A local welding supply shop.
  6. D'oh! Yeah, I see now that you had 18v right there in your title. I'll have to try that out on my 2 bad 18v batteries later this week. One day I needed a battery for the van so I ganked the optima out of my 88 (been sitting disconnected for a few months now) and put it in the van. It was dead so I charged it overnight. Started the van right up after a fresh charge, but couldn't hold that charge overnight, even with it disconnected from the van. :( So I took it to the optima store, only to find out that the yellow tops don't have a 5 year warranty like the red tops. They held it 24 hrs and declared it dead so I bought a discounted red top to use instead. But I still hold out hope that recharging it over and over and over again might produce a usable battery. It's a deep cycle after all. That dang thing was like $180 (I only paid $40 for it after the red top died under warranty) so I'm willing to sacrifice a little electricity to find out what happens. :D
  7. Not really. I'll post more of the 90 when I finally push it out of the garage. Hopefully later this week. :D Any particular reason you posted this here? :hmm:
  8. Hmmm, wonder if that'd work with batteries as high as 18volt. :hmm: On a side note, I'm trying very hard to nurse my Optima yellow top back to life. It just won't hold a charge overnight anymore. :(
  9. I don't think there is one. They each have seals of there own and then just bolt together.

    question for Pete

Orrrr, you can ask for more magnets. :D I've got more if you want them. Plus I'm thinking of having cards done up along with the new batch of magnets. Cards are dirt cheap so it didn't make any sense not to.
  11. Superdutys went to front coils a few years ago. Other things Ford got right are the high-pinion front 44 and 60. And the 9" isn't half-bad either. :D
  12. Yeah, Marshals charges separately for the trans and bellhousing. Bastards. :headpop:
  13. Well, you guys can certainly go on without me (heck, I don't have a working MJ yet anyways), but I won't be back from my trip by the 11th.
  14. BAck when I drove it a lot, I changed the oil in my 88 every 2k mile (or after every weekend excursion back when I used to drive it to the destination) and I use cheap oil and an expensive filter. :D The engine in the 88 likes to dirty up the oil in a hurry. :( That engine just can't go past 2.5k without a noticeably increasing sluggishness. Change the oil and it perks back up. At one point in time I used synthetic and eventually gave up and went back to the cheap stuff. There just wasn't any benefit to me.
  15. I've got more. :D They're water resistant and heat tolerant. Oh, and cheap.
  16. Now seems to be an excellent time to think about upgrading. :D
  17. If I remember this right, the early AX-15s will need a pilot bearing from their same year 4.0L. Later year AX-15s can use a bushing from a CJ. It's a $2 part (not to be confused with the more expensive and wrong bushing that was also available in some CJs).
  18. In the tupperware. :D
  19. The pics still weren't linked into the page so I re-fixed them for you. :D
  20. I agree. It works like a charm.

    got a ticket

Always, always, always, always, always, always, always, challenge a speeding ticket. Only once in my life have I ever not had it reduced, erased, or changed to "impeding traffic" (that's the latest craze around here, no points, no reports to your insurance, and the city still gets their money).
  22. I agree that an extended vacation is what you need. Take a breather to relax and collect yourself. But be careful, you don't want to keep running from life every time it starts to seem hectic. You need to find something that puts you at peace without having to start fresh over and over again. My muse is nature. As far from civilization as my feet or tires can take me. I got that bug from my dad. On family trips he always sought out the less beaten path. We always hiked the longer trails (the majority of tourists are lazy and stay near the roads), stayed at the smaller campsites (to stay away from RV A/C units and generators), and tried to avoid the crowds when at all possible. If you need any help with destination suggestions, I have some favorites I'd be willing to share. And I try my darnedest to bring a small piece of nature home with me. From the landscaping around the house to the natural setting I put in my fish tank. I love the small reminders that bring forth not just memories, but a serene feeling. My happy place if you will. :D A couple years ago I took 3 weeks or so to head out to Moab and I visited with several MJ owners along the way. Just me, my dog, my MJ and the open road. I met lots of friends along the way and my best bud even flew out to Colorado for a few days of hiking in the state parks. I'd love to do that again. :D
  23. There are other, far more cost-effective ways of getting stronger axles. :D
  24. Mmmm, big tires....
