Pushing the axle forward can be a good thing. I wish I moved mine forward by another couple inches (only did 1" at the time).

I prefer junkyard parts with a warranty to a. Also, picking and choosing lets you make the truck better than Jeep ever did. You can improve the transmission, the t-case (for awd), the front U-joints, or most importantly, the gear ratios. :D That's what I'm doing with my 90 (although that one was 4wd to start with). I've added an external slave, NP-242, and better gears to match the bigger tires. The costs mostly depend on the junkyards you have access too. What are your end goals? Lift? Tire size? trails? street-only?

Personally I'd go with another set of 31s. To me, 32s are too big of a headache for the extra 1/2" of ground clearance they afford.

Use this opportunity to switch to modern refrigerant and it'll suck less. :D

Did you remove the core from the valve? Even with 0psi in the tire, it'll fight you hard unless the air can escape as you push on it.

Clean off everything with a degreaser and a towel and then follow the new trail up to the source. Typical locations are rear main seal, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, oil pan drain plug, and where the oil filter adapter seals to the block.

You mean the little plastic gear? Maybe your speedo cable is binding or sticking? :dunno:
