Found 2 at a local yard sale one in fairly good shape the other kind of ugly. just needing to know what to grab for these the next time I go to u- pullit. I want to put one in my cherokee and one in my mj now that my garage is about done its time to break out the tools. All I have for these is the mounting brackets. they have a temp button as well as trip in both metric and english if that helps.

well thanks for the fast response. actually the chryco column has the sloppy tilt but I understand the tightening the tilt but the turn signal switch was broken inside the column as well by the p.o. So if I understand you then the only column I can swap with is another 91? and no Jt this 91 doesnt have the air bag. I will post pic tommarrow or wed when I have a little more time. thanks for the responses steve -
I just got a 1991 cherokee 4x4 runs and drives great only problem Ihave is the tilt column has a little more tilt then needed. So i went to a u pull it and all the columns that matched the 1991 all have the same lame sloppy tilt ( must be a common problem). Was just going to leave when Ifound a 1989 cherokeethat has a tilt and seems solid so I pulled it When I put the 2 side by side they look the same except the keyed switch-the 89 is gm and the 91is chryco. The chryco has 2 main wire leads as well as a single pig tail that were all connected when I pulled the column from my cherokee-however the gm has the 2 main wire leads but doesnt have the pig tail and that brings me to the question are these compatable ? If not then the gm column goes into my comanche so its not a total loss I posted this on the cherokee site as well but i seem to get answers faster here so I thought I would post it here as well. thanks Steve

I couldnt get the pick to post but click the link. Imagine how much he eats & poops!...for sure not a lap dog. Subject: World's Biggest Dog! World's Biggest Dog! This is AMAZING!!! Hercules was recently awarded the honorable distinction of World's Biggest Dog. Hercules is an English Mastiff and who has a 38 inch neck and weights 282 pounds. With "paws the size of softballs" the three-year old monster is far larger and heavier than his breed's standard 200 lbs. limit. Hercules' owner Mr. Flynn says that Hercules weight is natural and not induced by a bizarre diet. " I fed him normal food and he just grew and grew and grew..." http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/b ... st_dog.htm :USAflag: steve

Just as stated above use plastic paint for the plastic parts , the vinyl and fabric paint i got from auto zone . I don't have the name at the moment but I can post it later if you want. To do your seats if I remember the label it would cover your seats but it may take more then you think to get a quality look. The burgundy head liner I covered took 4 cans and you can still see a light reddish tint if you put direct light to it. The dash is done and so far no problems with the cover I will post pics when it warms up . (no garage to work in at this time) hope this helps Steve :USAflag:

I forgot to tell you mine is the red one with gray and black interior . The dash is tan in the pics but has been done in gray as well. glad to meet you Steve :USAflag:
-
if you want to see what can be done with paint and dye . Go to introduce your comanche page and check out what I did with mine. just take your time and make sure your parts are clean first. just take pics and post them. steve. :USAflag:

lol. i know what you mean there. noone at the jeep dealer i worked at drove jeeps. then i showed up driving a comanche or 2 and none of them had ever seen one. i think these things must be from a parallel universe or somthing. Alex I had the same experince as well thats how i ended up with a aftermarket rear bumper. They ordered it 3 times and each time I went to pick it up it always was a bumper from a minivan not even close . And after a short heated conversation I got my money back and went on line and found one that was close to the original . they just don't get it and never will.
