    did he re-weld the perches to the MJ width apart? It's all to common for guys to just force the leafs to match the XJ perches.
  6. sooooooooo..... I haven't gotten them and figured I'd check on the tracking. Amazon says they were left in the mailbox on Sunday the 18th. no one here remembers a package of 3 identical books showing up so my best guess is that they were promptly picked up on monday as outgoing mail? whatever. 3 more ordered.
  7. be super careful with the bolts that you'll have to remove to install drop brackets. they are known for snapping.

    my film SLR was younger than this brick. it also takes what they call a "Memory Stick" which was a defunct Sony-specific card. a whopping 64mb version was included with this camera.

    not my photo, but one of these bad boys fell into my lap. now I just need to find a floppy! and what I'm photographing better be within range of a cord, because that battery is loooong dead.
  20. take a sawzall and trim the entire assembly off and then you'll have way more access. the inner flare might actually be harder to find intact. at least for southern guys.
  21. I would pull the rubber belt trim though.
