Try to make sure the swing arm up is tied up securely and remains about parallel with the ground. Otherwise you could lose your rear brakes.

It's not like the top one won't squish pretty flat. :roll: It's just neoprene after all.

Now I'm free to choose either putting off swapping in my 4.88 geared axles in the garage or just settle on 4.10s and sell off the 4.88s. Decisions, decisions... :roll:

The remaining colors suck. So we've found another company that offers a dark green and they have 2 different styles. For 2" of lift the shackle would need to be 4" longer than stock. That's a long shackle. I recommend adding an AAL in the form of another MJ main leaf located right below the current one. Gives an inch or so and helps combat spring-wrap.

The seats are held in with just a few 13mm nuts. It's the center console and screwing around with the seatbelts that take the most time. :(

Oh, yeah, it's mine. :jump: Totally worth the 300 I spent on it. The disks are F-150 fronts that were machined out to fit the shaft and the calipers are Chevys. No more peg-leg hill climbs for me.

78 Ford dana 44 with the Ford radius arms. I've got a 9" in the rear of my 88 already, but it's hurt, the posi is completely dead, and the brakes are the original issued parts from Ford. :(

Remember the hockey pucks on that axle? Those were cheapie bumpstop "extensions". Extensions is a bad word to use though, as the bumpstop is the thing above them inside the coil. The pucks bring up the platform on which the bumpstop contacts. You may end up needing a couple if you're intent on running 33s.

What's your budget? Jeep used crappy gear ratios with the 4.0L (yes, 3.55s suck in my opinion, especially with a stickshift and 33s) until the Rubicon TJ came out. Since I imagine you're keeping the Dana 44 axle and regearing, I would plan to regear both axles to 4.56. What I would look for: non-CAD front axle, preferably with the 297 U-joints AX-15, preferably with the external slave 23 spline np-231 to match (or 242 if you want the AWD option) It is possible to get all these on a single XJ

The 2.5L trans won't bolt up to the 4.0 The t-case is a 21 spline input and won't bolt to the AX-15 (the trans I hope you're looking for) You need a 4x4 trans. Get an AX-15, not the Peugeot The rear axle is weaker than your 44 and so you should plan on re-gearing your 44 The driveshafts are likely the wrong length The front axle, assuming it's 4.10, might be good for you. If it's 3.55, then not-so-much. The 4wd shifter handle assembly should work just fine. :D (although the linkages might be wrong)

I go through a local business owner who lets me ship from his dock. I can send just about anything that I can fit on a pallet (engines, axles, etc) to most anywhere in the country for ~$100-150 (depending on the exact destination it could be a bit more).

Not until I have it securely strapped to the trailer. :brows: The best part is that I have 2 center sections to sell and recoup all the costs. I love free upgrades!
