Did you grab the little metal brackets that hold the console to the floor?

I had the seats out at the time. Pat's way is likely the "fix" while mine was the-best-I-could-come-up-with-at-the-time. :D

Hopefully I won't jinx myself, but I should be picking this bad-boy up tomorrow. :D Professionally built with 4.10s, a full spool and disk brakes. It's not as pretty as the pic shows, but only 3 months old. The guy kept breaking the front axle and is now upgrading to 60s. Now I can finally replace my wounded 9". :D

There's a latch at the back/bottom of the seat. Pulling on the lever is supposed to pull the latch over and release the seat. With my 88 I nipped a bit off the end of the latch since it wasn't being pulled over all the way to free it. I swear I recently saw a fix-it topic on this some where on the web, but for the life of me can't remember where. :(

Memory is cheap. I would get a 2 gig for in the camera and carry the 1 gig as backup. Heck, the 4 gig cards aren't all that much anymore either. one of those and you should be pretty set for life. :D

Different trim levels. Essentially, the Pioneer came with more stuff standard.

If the axles are cheap enough, then it might be ok for now. But yeah, 3.55s are not enough gearing. I would start planning for the next phase to include 4.56 or 4.88s and A better rear axle (29 spline 8.25, Explorer 8.8 or MJ/XJ Dana 44) Also, just in case you didn't know, the perches on the XJ rear axle will need to be moved inwards a bit to match the MJ leaf locations.

My money says they are too wide. MJ cabs are tiny, J-10s are fullsize trucks.

I'll believe it when I see it. Not 3 days ago they said Saturday was supposed to be 40+ and now it's supposed to be 32. :headpop:

Either one will work fine for most MJ owners out there. If your truck sees snowy roads, the AWD option in the 242 is nice.

Yeah, my shipment of boxes came yesterday. Man was it a bigger package than what I was expecting. Keeping everything straight might be rough.

I should have the hats early next week and then they will be shipped out as fast as I can (which is a pretty daunting task, as I've never sent out 77 boxes all at once).

Do make sure that your circuits can take it. I found out that the garage is underpowered and I blow the breaker if I weld longer than 5 seconds with my little pos stick welder. Hopefully we can upgrade the service to the garage this summer.

Or you could hook up a fan through a relay to a switch in the cab. That's what I ended up doing in the 88. It's been a great bandaid to a bad fan clutch. :roll:

My 88 came to me with the fan's temp sensor located in a hard tube spliced intothe lower radiator hose. Don't know why, but I doubt it was factory so maybe that would be an option for those without the boss in their radiator.

Likely just old door seals. I read that 97+ XJs have better seals and that they will fit our older rigs.

The electric fan was not standard and came with things like A/C or (I think) the towing prep package.

He's got a TJ with the non-cad Dana 30, the driveshaft will be turning any time both front tires are turning. It's the crappy CAD Dana 30 that allows the front shaft to remain still when not in 4wd.

In theory, yes. But not enough to notice any difference. It simply doesn't take much energy to keep it spinning around compared to pushing your brick through the air. I'd rather leave it on just in case you need it (we just got 5 inches here with more on the way).

They don't let me pick all sorts of fancy color combos so I went with a nice neutral khaki. Feel free to dye yours any color you want. :D By the way, if anyone who hasn't ordered one wants one, NOW is the time to tell me. I may never again be able to reach the 45 hat minimum so this may be a one shot deal. And Disney World is always awesome.

Yup, I'm on it. :D I placed an order for the extra stickers I'll need, as well as the can-cozies (forest green with a white logo). I still need to order 75 shipping boxes. I went back to get a shot of the sample hat and he said it was mine anyway so he gave it to me. So without further ado, I give you the ComancheClub hats, 3 months in the making (and the journey isn't over yet). That is undoubtedly the most expensive cap I've ever bought (until the whole batch comes in that is).

I've noticed 0 difference in mpg between 2-hi and AWD in our Liberty. My theory is that essentially all the same parts are moving all the time either way. Just to clarify, the 242 isn't "gear driven" in the same way as the NP-205 or Atlas-2 are, but rather he's referring to the part of the t-case that gives you differentiation between the front and rear. The case is still a chain case like the 231.
