  1. Oizarod has passed you up in posts. :D But seriously, grab a drink, fire up the TV and chill a while.
  2. Hmmm.... I have no interest in letting any of mine go, but as they sit, I'd probably let the 86 go for a grand, the 90 for 2 grand and the 88 for ten grand. No takers? Thought not. Guess I'll just have to hang on to them. :D
  3. x2 That's what happened to me. The filter failed and the oil pressure gauge dropped to 0 if I wasn't revving the engine above 1500. It became a "dance of the pedals" at every stop for the next 8 hours. I was convinced that my pump was failing and when I got to the Badlands I threw in some heavier weight oil. That helped a bit. When I got home I learned of the issues with fram and swapped it out. I immediately got all the pressure back.
  4. He did say it's on the list to get custom fiberglass made. Maybe he did intend to go MJ with the end look. :dunno:
  5. I run the cheapest oil I can find. :D Since none of my trucks get driven much and none of the engines in them are on my "keep forever" list, I see no need to run anything but plain-jane dino juice. I'll happily spend more money on the filter than the 6 quarts of oil. :brows:
  6. I know the code enforcer looks at my trucks practically every day. :D Which reminds me, it's getting on 30 days since I last moved them. Time to fire 'em all up and roll 20 feet to the other side of the parking lot.
  7. He uses the force. :D
  8. I almost lost my 88's 4.0 to a fram and then found out that I was not an isolated incident. I'll never use another. :( They seem to have some quality control issues.
  9. According to one of them yesterday, "rely cheep". :D
  10. How are you calculating your mpg?
  11. There you go. You aren't getting 15 mpg. All you math is off. :D Get the correct speedo gear in there and retest.
  12. My 2.8L is also backed by 4.10s. Can't fight it's way out of a wet paper bag though. :( But she accelerates just about as fast with a bed full of topsoil as she does empty. :D
  13. I will have a few extra.
  14. MJs have a slightly taller roof. I've got no idea if it is enough difference to mean that an XJ unit can or can't be adapted to an MJ.
  15. Just got a phone call. The hats are in. :brows:
  16. How exactly do you bump a sticky?
  17. Possibly when they're advertising discount viagra. :D
  18. :brows: I've been made aware that the Wheat-n-Rye bar near me has .10c beers at 7am and they go up by a dime every hour after that. Holy cheap beer batman!
  19. I made mine from simple 1/4" C-channel (came from some industrial shelving unit). I bolted it to the extra brace on the side of the frame rails that XJs don't have. No problems yet. It nestles in comfortably between my t-case skid and the control arm mount crossmember.
  20. yes and yes. :D
  21. Finding a matching front axle can be hard. :(
  22. Regular ol' cork gaskets are available for the VC at auto parts stores.
