  1. Directly off a truck? Likely not. The 1-ton kits are Jeep-specific designs using bigger TREs and parts rather than parts off of a junkyard vehicle. But if I remember right, the tie-rod off of a ZJ is beefier than an MJ/XJ and bolts in. But at 6" of lift, stock parts are at the maximum range of movement and length. An aftermarket kit would be better able to handle the new geometry.
  2. Noooo... you PM me with what you want. :D
  3. Actually, according to rule #2, they are all free. :D
  4. Wow, really? what crazy designer came up with that plan? And if everyone could please stop pushing each others' buttons... :shake:
  5. For that type of competition, smoking of the tires is required. :D Hard to do the donuts without it. Guess they got bored with regular racing and decided to hotdog. :clapping:
  6. 4 sets of tires. :D
  7. Oooo, that seems awfully close to breaking rule #2. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1239&p=10174
  8. MJs interiors and floors will not differ because it's 2wd or 4wd.
  9. Yup, pretty much.
  10. I used to dissolve my cat's pill in a small syringe (a needle-less version of course) filled with milk and it made life a whole lot easier. :D

    Jeep 1 - FedEx 0

Never underestimate the power of 3000 determined pounds. :D
  12. I had the passengers side freeze up on me once. If you're lucky, a whole lotta PB-Blaster might do the trick. Spray at it from every angle imaginable including through the keyhole and from above past the window.
  13. 87-90 MJ/XJ should go right in.

    4x4 manches

The last 3 I've purchased were under 300 each. Only one was 4wd, but I gutted the old drivetrain anyway since it was old and inferior (to what I put in). Just gotta keep your eye out and cross your fingers.
  15. It would look awesome! Like when I pop out of my MJ wearing a Colorado XJs shirt. :D I need another. Might need a zippered hoodie too. :D I'll send an email when I figure it all out.
  16. Or the TPS. I also would start by cleaning the throttle body area and sensors with an o2-safe cleaner.
  17. how much articulation are you looking for? My uneducated guess is that the road manners will be dependent on your link setup.
  18. I wonder if there's a Rosetta Stone lesson for it. :D
  19. I haven't got any new details, but last I heard they had a tentative length of hospital stay (another week or so) and then a plan for rehab, so I'm going to take that as "good" news. (the lack of bad news is good, right?) I don't know if she's out of the woods yet.
  20. Tomorrow is supposed to be 39* here. :clapping: First day above freezing in... um, a long time. It's been so long I don't remember. :shake: If it wasn't for the hose being frozen under 2 feet of snow, I'd wash the van tomorrow.
  21. Yes, absolutely. The difference is simply due to different axles have different size gears with different numbers of teeth where the closest you can get when doing the division is off by 0.01.

    4x4 manches

Why bother? Just find a nice 2wd and bolt in the 4x4 parts. You can even take the opportunity to bolt in late model XJ parts that were better than stock MJ parts (better gears, stronger axles, stronger transmissions).
  23. Some of us are occasionally in Loganville. :waving:
  24. I'm not entirely familiar with the inner workings of the Jeep HVAC system, but maybe a blend door is stuck? How does the ductwork separate cold AC air from the heater core air? (meaning if you had the AC on but didn't want it at max, how does it regulate what comes out the vents?)
