I've got a new monitor too (19" led LG), but that's because the power supply in the old one (19" MAG) croaked on me a couple months after the warranty was up. Turns out to be a common problem for that model but for the life of me I couldn't find a new power supply in stock anywhere. Oh, well. Lesson learned and the new one comes with 7 years of warranty. :D Anyone know where I can get my hands on one of these? http://www.discount-merchant.com/Produc ... C&Click=35 I never did get to a local computer store. Probably should have. :shake: Maybe they can diagnose and repair whatever individual component went bad. If I can fix it I'm going to give it to my buddy Mike (who's still using a non-flat screen :ack: ).

If at all possible, find yourself an AX-15 (from a comanche or cherokee or wrangler). The Peugeot is a weak trans and can be very expensive to work on. :(

Are you repairing a 4wd Peugeot? Or looking to convert a 2wd Peugeot to 4wd? Personally, I'd hunt down an '89-'99 AX-15 and its transfercase if that's possible. I don't know how available junkyard parts are for you.

ZJ Grand Cherokees have the weird aluminum housings. Rodeos have a normal Dana 44 differential and have the same 6 on 5.5 rim bolt pattern as a Grand Waggy. The only weird thing about them is they have a flange yoke so you'll want to throw on a U-joint yoke. I believe the scouts are 5 on 5.5"

What will you be using for the front? v6 '95ish Izusu Rodeos and Honda Passports have a Dana 44 rear with disk brakes and either 4.10 or 4.30 gears. :thumbsup:

If you're not comfortable trusting your own welds, just tack them up, tighten them down and drive to the closest pro. :thumbsup: All the welding on my truck was done by pros.

All death wobble cases are mysterious. :D I would start by crawling under the front and trying to move all components with my hands. Look for any slop. Try having someone turn the steering wheel back and forth while you watch said components. What is the condition of the control arm bushings? Try jacking up a front tire and shaking it with your hands. Any play side to side or up and down?

If it's solid, keep it. Or sell it to someone that will. A solid body is a great place to start a buildup. I know plenty of guys that have offroad toys that aren't registered or plated. They are purely for offroad use. Or, depending on the state, it's not all that hard to re-issue a title.

In order to get the 4:10 gears? I know the rear axle is different for swapping in, how about the front? Bolt in? The rear XJ axle only needs the old perches and shock mounts removed and new perches welded on. The front will bolt-in. Do not fear the welding. :cheers:
