  1. I did that for him (or is it "to him"?) after he misspelled comanche and then fixed his misspelling with another misspelling. :D
  2. Or you can email it to me and I'll do the rest. :D petermontie@hotmail.com
  3. Are you sure it isn't leaking out the back of the valve cover? Frequently a small leak there can look like a RMS.
  4. Keep in mind when looking for tailpipes that longbeds are different than shortbeds and both are different than Cherokees.
  5. The Eliminator contains more standard items, like the full gauge package and bucket seats. But a buyer could order pretty much everything added to the Pioneer. Jeep was funny that way. :dunno:
  6. Are you referring to the rod that switches from headlights to brights?
  7. Good luck. Fuel pumps are expensive. And sometimes short-lived. Make sure it has a good warranty.
  8. We all go though those burned-out periods. I haven't touched my trucks all winter. As long as you don't do anything drastic, it'll come back. It's cyclical. I'm actually sorta looking forward to rewiring the fuse box. Any reason why you can't just grind down the rust and POR-15 it? And what the heck makes you think your engine or trans is about to go kaput? :hmm: Maybe you just need to come over and see my 90. That should cheer you up about your truck once you see that yours isn't all that bad. :D
  9. Due to apparent popular demand :dunno: I've added some "regional" forums to the wheelin/meetin forum. Nothing fancy as of yet, just enough so you can go check them out and provide input. If we keep them, I was thinking that upcoming trips/meetings would go in the regional folders, and then once they happened, it would get moved to the main wheelin/meetin folder with pictures. So go check them out and tell me what you think. Go on. I'll just sit here patiently and wait. :typing: Actually, I'll probably just go fire up the DVR and watch the Simpsons. :D
  10. More "progress". I brought my 97 grille down with me last trip and strapped it to the front with some wire. :D
  11. If anyone wants to swing by, you'd better plan for a whole day. There's a LOT to see. :D I forgot to ask how long the yard has been in existence.
  12. -Can spell Comanche 25 -Comanche fan 50 -Comanche aficionado 150 -Comanche Addict 500 -Obsessive Comanche Disorder 5000
  13. How's the rust on the underside? If the tank is in overall good shape, I might try cleaning it out with a cleaner. Here in Michigan, if there's any problem with the tank, I just write it off. It's already too rusty for me to want to save.
  14. Don't mineral spirits dissolve certain paints?
  15. Getting the windshield out in one piece is notoriously difficult. Personally I'd go with new glass and a late model XJ rubber glass surround.
  16. I know I've seen photos of guys refurbing their tanks. Don't know how extensive theirs were in regards to cleaning. You might want to start a fresh topic about that so hopefully they'll see it. How's the rust in your area?
  17. I would start with a fresh tank.
  18. That's my guess, but I haven't gotten closer to it yet.
  19. I saw a Jeep on a trailer next to it in the driveway the day before so I'm guessing he trailers that thing to go play.
