I think (but am unsure) that you'll need a 4x4 cable assembly. But the hole should be the same, you'll need to swap the speedo housing into the new t-case. You may need to swap around some of the guts inside. I needed the gear shaft from the old t-case, but the gear from the new, or was it the opposite? Anyway, yes, it's possible. :thumbsup:

What gear ratio were you looking to run? and out of curiosity, what all is breaking on those 8.25s?

Means that it wasn't available at the beginning of the year. Doesn't say how late is "late". There are similar asterisks in the cherokee section for the Limited trim level.

92 dealership brochure says that the Hunter Green on available with Eliminators with a "late availability" asterisk. Same with Midnite Blue. The other colors for 92 Elims were: White, Black, Colorado Red, Grey Mist Metallic, and Dark Cordovan Pearl coat (looks almost like a purple on the tiny color swatch).

A grand?! If you're looking to sink that much cash into it, why not hunt down an MJ/XJ Dana 44? I was thinking that you were just going to grab a stock axle and swap it in. This is a whole 'nuther ball game. (but I still wouldn't use a Dana 35)

I was thiiiis close to putting an 8.8 under my stock height 90. But since I already had the 44 sitting around... I'd happily put an 8.8 under a stock stock before another Dana 35. :D
