4.10s work just fine with 31s on the highway. :thumbsup: I've got 3.92s and 28" tires in my Dak R/T. The lowest possible rpms don't necessarily translate directly into better mpgs.

Never underestimate the power of gearing to put a huge smile on your face. :D Look into 4.10s if you want even more grunt. :thumbsup:

What all do you need? Just looking for more power?

My brain is struggling here, but I seem to remember something about the fuel lines were set up differently and the fuel level sender reads backwards and even if you flip the wires it'll still be wrong since the ohms were different. The renix and HO systems are, at the same time identical and yet very very different. may I ask why you want the Chrysler system?

I did the rears just like my front. i snipped the pinch seam in the corners and flatted it in. Later on I'll be reattaching the flares (in a manner I haven't quite figured out yet)

Later years (post 96?) have a disk braked 8.8. I seem to remember reading that the Explorer's had a better version of the axle (maybe spline count, maybe tube thickness, something like that :dunno: ).

I would start with a good cleaning of the throttle body and IAC hole with Q-tips, a tooth brush and an O2 save throttle body cleaner. :thumbsup:
