  1. Can't. This is a family-friendly site. :D
  2. Ownership is never a requirement. This is a long-ish shot at this point in time, but if I'm down in GA Sept 28-Oct 4th, we can probably have a get-together at my place (meaning my parent's place) in Loganville.
  3. What I'm saying is, if the cause of any accident is linked back to your mods, you're screwed.
  4. If it's your RMS, then stop-leak ain't going to do anything. I lost 5 quarts inside of a half hour when that went. :( But the leak was pretty obvious and you could see dripping down even at idle. Good luck to you!
  5. In Michigan it is unlawful to run suspensions with home-built parts on the street.
  6. That'll never happen unless you change your driving style at the same time (which is frequently how any of these "mpg improvers" work). It's an unmeasurable difference when it comes to mpgs (sorta like the CAD). You'd be much better off spending that $70 on gas.
  7. Oh the sweet, sweet irony that I of all people am linking to a thread rather than typing it all from scratch. :shake: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14150
  8. Might get a bit of power with the E-fan conversion too.
  9. Negative... I'm afraid what I might find....and I've never taken one off before, the way I work on things, I'd bust something and never get back together. It's not that hard. It's been a while but if I remember it right, a dozen or so bolts and the cover pops off. Clean the inside of the cover of any grimy build up. Clean the gasket off (being careful not to let the pieces fall into the engine). Then replace cover using new gasket and torque in the proper sequence. Having access to a torque wrench is really the only catch. That, and the rear most bolt can be a real bear without an ratchet U-joint. You really should own both those things anyways. While it's open, wiggle the lifters to see if any are seriously loose. Torque them down to spec if they aren't quite right. Be careful not to break anything nearby by leaning on it and you should fine.
  10. Yes, I think your guesses are correct.
  11. Your money could be better spent elsewhere.
  12. everything. Everything that connects the axles to the body. i.e. brake lines, track bar, sway bar links etc.
  13. Did you bench-bleed the master first? Is the setup internal slave or external slave? The trans is most likely an AX-4. (the t-4s were pretty rare in MJ/XJs) A photo would clear that up. Either way the bleeding happens just like the brakes.
  14. I cannot read the diagram. the letters are too small on my screen. :(
  15. The question becomes, how much do you want to spend for almost no gain, if any? Gearing is the answer to 2.5 power woes.
  16. Bunch of slackers, apparently. :dunno: Have you pulled up the valve cover to see if anything is loose inside?
  17. I think (but am unsure) that you'll need a 4x4 cable assembly. But the hole should be the same, you'll need to swap the speedo housing into the new t-case. You may need to swap around some of the guts inside. I needed the gear shaft from the old t-case, but the gear from the new, or was it the opposite? Anyway, yes, it's possible.
  18. What gear ratio were you looking to run? and out of curiosity, what all is breaking on those 8.25s?
  19. A milestone... for the gauge cluster? :hmm:
  20. Good point. The later ones are a pretty decent axle.
  21. Means that it wasn't available at the beginning of the year. Doesn't say how late is "late". There are similar asterisks in the cherokee section for the Limited trim level.
  22. 92 dealership brochure says that the Hunter Green on available with Eliminators with a "late availability" asterisk. Same with Midnite Blue. The other colors for 92 Elims were: White, Black, Colorado Red, Grey Mist Metallic, and Dark Cordovan Pearl coat (looks almost like a purple on the tiny color swatch).
  23. A grand?! If you're looking to sink that much cash into it, why not hunt down an MJ/XJ Dana 44? I was thinking that you were just going to grab a stock axle and swap it in. This is a whole 'nuther ball game. (but I still wouldn't use a Dana 35)
  24. Just picked the first 3 that popped up and had a bunch of bumpers. :D
