  1. Left side?? Be patient Belto and don't settle for an XJ unless you have to. I have no clue how many MJs are left in PR, salt probably got most of them, and I'm sure they will be tough to find. Dayem, it's tough to find a good one in the lower 48 now w/o paying a premium. BTW, how's things on Luna Street down in Old San Juan? Ah, I remember some great times there. :D :D :D
  2. I guess you all live in so-called "progressive" states. Dayem, the whole flocking country is getting corrupted by CA, where this crap must have started. Bring your junk down here; long as you have the $$, they will get er done.
  3. Walmart?? Oxy Clean guy?? :jump: Junk and junk. Don't waste your $$.
  4. Here's a pic of a fiberglass XJ/MJ hood w. a 2-1/2" cowl (according to the mfg.). Looks a bit high to me - I like the Reflexxion 2" cowl hood better. Image Not Found
  5. agreed, Don  But, that was some sloppy play (on both sides). If they play like that against NE, not a chance. Jeff Yeah Jeff, agreed, but the sloppy play was due to frigid temps, and the Giants walked in there and beat the Pack in their ideal environment. The Giants gave the Pats the toughest game they had all year. The GAME will be in AZ; no weather excuses on either side. All year everyone has been underestimating the Giants, but they just keep winning. They are already two touchdown underdogs. Damn, wish there were bookies here............
  6. SWEEEEEEEEET.
  7. I think he meant the onher one. WTF is a Kyle Petty? :D
  8. Another one of the several thousand reasons why I would never live in CA. :D Glad you passed the test though.
  9. Well, the Pats are in :beerhead: . New Yawk's going to have a tough time with the below zero temp in Green Bay - getting just a bit worried. :brows:
  10. Hey Pete, many thanks for taking the time to write that up. Good stuff! Got something to work with now. :D
  11. No Chico, by gills, I meant as in fish, like a sucker fish. :D WahooSteeler was making a well said funny.
  12. Yeah, rub it in. But it gets hot here too - wish it were now. Some of the clips I have from the older XJ's (86 and below) were metal. Bend buy don't break. Seriously, if you need some, let me know........
  13. Guess you're talking about the rod linkage clips? How are you breaking them? I've had my off/on about 100 times w. no problems. If you need some I have plenty.
  14. You're not exactly talking to a 4WD expert here Pete. Recommendations? Don't scream, but I want to keep my D35 for now because it has the TeraFlex disks and new 4.11 gears. And I can reuse the TeraFlex kit on a D44 w. different backing plates if and when the D35 breaks. Well, this TN MJ is over $3K now, reserve not met, and the creek's still risin'. I'm not going to waste my time for a look-see. Pete, seriously, give me some recommendations as to what model(s) is best for the front 4WD stuff. I have a close-by yard filled with 2001 and down XJs.
  15. Hey Wahoo - do ya have gills on your neck?? :D :D
  16. Oh. Errr, never mind.
  17. More white stuff coming in tonight and tomorrow. I'm gonna move back up north where it's warmer. :D
  18. Hey Pat! You be a rich man through-ing away your hard earned $$ ? :D
  19. For me simple,I wouldn't give a grand for any 4cy std shift MJ with any trim level. I don't care what it looks like. Thats me I want and automatic,4x4,4.0L if spending in that range or above Well that's great! Thanks for sharing that.
  20. Tried to send ya a PM - it just sits in my outbox. Maybe you can send me one?
  21. Pat, I tried to find one for a friend thru my dealer and he struck out. Said there were no more in the database. Your guy have a private stash? Thanks; Don
  22. This I gotta see.
  23. I have to disagree on the bumper statement above (but the rest was all correct AFAIK  ). "Bright" or "chrome" step bumpers were available for all models (base thru Eliminator/Laredo) through the 86-88 production run via special order. The 86-87 and the 88 carried different part numbers for the chrome bumper assemblies; the only difference being the license plate lamps. I was lucky enough to find one of the last 86-87 factory chrome bumpers a few years ago up in an old AMC warehouse in MN. $185 shipped to my door. It included the face plate, end caps, step plates, brackets, and the plate lights w. wiring harness. But you're SOL now if trying to find a new original; they're all gone. Unless someone has one laying around in their garage and it shows up on FleaBay. I wouldn't be that surprised either. :D
  24. Worst here ever was in Mar, 1993. We had just returned from the Philippines in Feb 1993 after a 10 year tour there, where the temps are hotter than the hinges of hell year round. We had just moved in our house in N. Alabama when I had to go back to the PI TDY in early Mar for a couple of weeks. On Mar 12 it started snowing, and continued all the next day, for a total of more than 2 ft. Course I was over in the PI and Mama and the kids were stuck in 'Bama. Power was out for over a week, nothing moved, the whole state was paralyzed. "Bama officials had no clue how to deal with it. Luckily we had a wood stove, so she had heat and could cook on it. She's from the Philippines, had not lived in the States before, and was not happy (the telephone was the only thing that worked). But she did great, and the neighbors were all helpful. Good times. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/bmx/significant ... /index.php
