  1. X2. But how 'bout the Giant offensive line keeping the Pats off Eli? How 'bout the no-name Giant receivers, especially David Tyree who made that miraculous 4th quarter catch to keep the Giant's drive going. He didn't even get an after game interview that I saw. A total team effort, they looked more like the Pats than the Pats did. Probably the greatest Super Bowl yet. My head hurts this morning.
  2. Ah. U B one of many, as I've seen on the Strokers forum. I used the Hesco RV-O-B w. the 1.6 intake and exhausts. 3 yrs later and all is well.
  3. I agree, Manning did pretty good for a kid in his brothers shadow.. Yeah, Daddy Archie must be proud. Passed on some pretty good genes. He never made it to the Show with the crappy Saints, but both his QB kids did.
  4. That's 11 straight for the Giants on the road. Maybe now they'll get some respect. Super defense, and Eli came through when he needed to. First NFL game I ever saw was in Yankee Stadium - Fran Tarkenton was the QB when. Super super bowl. Tom Petty was great too.
  5. How sweet it is.
  6. I'm having a heart attack - 25 seconds - HOLD 'EM!!!!

Heard of them but have never seen one. I think it was basically a detuned 2.5L four. What an anemic ball of fire those models must have been. :D
  12. After removing this module the problem is still there. Where exactly is that headlight delay module that is metal in relation to the headlight switch? That is the only thing that i have not unplugged yet. When i changed the main light switch i do not recall seeing that metal module. You removed the chime module - they came in either black or blue. The blue one has the LIGHTS ON buzzer, the only difference. The headlamp delay module (if you have one) is mounted on a 4-pin connector up under the dash with a single screw. You should make sure if it's there or not. If not, when your headlight switch went south, it may have taken the dimmer switch (lower steering column at the end of the rod) fusing the contacts and keeping the lights on. Do you have a meter? If not get one and start troubleshooting - someone sent a wiring diagram. All we can do is guess.
  13. Down south a bit in Arab.
  14. Afro-engineering? I resemble that remark. :D Just an effective method of utilizing useless junque for a semi-useful purpose. When's the last time anyone ever used a speed handle with all the pneumatic and electric socket combos today? I don't call this an AEF, I call it a jury rig, which implies an ingenious solution to a problem done with materials at hand.
  15.  I could never grind on anything w. perfectly good chrome plating!
  16. Instead of digging out the jack handle every time I just ground down the socket end of an old rusty 3/8" drive speed handle I had laying around (not the one pictured :D ) to something approximating a blunt flat head screw driver and use it to lower and retract the spare. Works great. Image Not Found
  17. Yeah, the blue chime module is tied into the headlight delay module - you have to have both modules for the headlamp delay feature to work.
  18. i already told you where the headlamp delay is. to the left of the fusebox on the driver's side. if it has headlamp delay it will be a blue module. can't miss it, it's about 2"x1" and though you won't see them til you get it out, it has about 7 connectors. to remove it you have to reach around to the side you can't see and push the retainer clip while pulling the module. otherwise it comes out crooked and gets hung up. I think Pat is referring to the blue plastic chime module. The headlamp delay module is a metal box up under the dash next to the headlight switch. Looks like this: If you have one, unlug it and see what happens.
  19. Cool! Or should I say Cold. I stayed in the AO; not too bad here.........
  20. Yeah, I've read the same things. Seen plenty of writeups changing the heater core w/o A/C, but not with. My FSM says pull the dash - ARGH. Luckily I haven't had to do it. :D But it must be tough dealing with it in your neck of the woods........
  21. ?? What ??
  22. I read a writeup on NAXJA where someone used Drano to clean the heater core, said it worked fine. You may also have have a problem with the water control valve not opening. I just eliminated it by swapping in 97+ heater hoses, since the 97+ XJs don't have a water control valve. Heat works much better now too. Weren't you at Redstone previously?
  23. There were three versions on tail lights, basically no trim, black trim, and CHROME trim. You know which ones I got. :D The ones with trim choices were for 86-87, but of course they all fit. Part numbers are: Black Trim: 56001352/3 Chrome Trim: 56001354/5 Std. Red: 56000848/9
  24. I can still switch from high beam to low beam but the low beam does not work. Is this rod inside the column or outside? What is involved in putting it back in? Three days ago something in the multifunction switch broke. It is the tab that resets the left turn signal when you turn the steering wheel back after you turn. Do you think that this may have something to do with my problem? The rod is on the outside of the column; left side, easy to see. Do your high beams light up when you pull the multifunction lever back? If so the rod is in place. See if there's not a wire hanging from the switch at the lower end of the rod. Part 6 is the rod, part 7 is the dimmer switch. Image Not Found
