  1. I got the metric ton springs here: http://www.generalspringkc.com/leaf_spr ... eclub.html They are made to the same specs as the originals, in fact they shipped me their OEM spring by mistake; the arch, leaf count, etc. was identical. I did not measure how far my stock leafs were sagged from the standard MJ height (axle to frame) before I installed the new springs, but with the new springs installed plus the new shackles I was a full 3" higher over the original height measured from the center of the wheel to the flare lip. If I was sagged about 1/2" as I suspect I was, total lift was 2-1/2". No less. Hope this clears it up.........
  2. fixin cheesehead rust
  3.  Dayem, I hope Eagle doesn't see this.
  4. As do you Eagle. Welcome aboard.

  6. I can tell you that I replaced my standard duty leaf springs with new Metric Ton springs and gained a full 3" of lift. For the front I used new OME 3" coils. They did sag after about a year 1/2", so I compensated with a bit longer shackles since mine were due for replacement anyhow.
  7. Would love to see it Eagle.
  8. sounds as if the Dodge's rearend broke loose....but that is one killer MJ. Sure does. Some traction bars would help the MJ too if they are not already on it. Looks like street tires, might be a DD. I love that thing........
  9. Sweet. Is the MJ really that good or is the Dodge a stone? :chillin:
  10. That rod is for fine tuning an "at rest" (remove any slop) position for contact between the m/c piston and the booster accuator. It's not for adjusting pedal travel. If you swapped in both the 95 booster and 95 m/c, this rod should not be touched.
  11. I did this on my 91 and the booster arm was a direct bolt-on to my pedal assembly w/o modifications. But the earlier pedal assemblies need a booster arm swap or a new hole drilled in the pedal. Check this link if you haven't seen it yet: http://www.madxj.com/ Also, did you install the 1/4" alum. spacer plate between the booster and the firewall? This will affect pedal travel.
  12. Dayem! Is there any manual you DON'T have on your site? :D BTW, I need an engine manual for a 1965 Saab Monte Carlo with the 850cc two-stroke engine. Can ya post it up?
  13. Eagle is basically right on the tranny diagnostics. They are simple to do and will tell you if you do in fact have a tranny problem and if it's electrical and/or machanical. If you shoot me a PM with an address I can send you the AW4 diagnostic manual.
  14. Yeah, you have a weird one. Like a backfeed through one of the headlights feeding the other. Are they on high beam or low? Or both? Does the dimmer switch work? Only other thing I can think of is try unplugging each headlight and see it the other one stays on. That will give you a starting point to start tracing back from.
  15. Did you find the headlamp delay module 4-pin connector like below? Image Not Found Power is applied from the headlight switch to the slider of the dimmer switch on the steering column. If you have the headlight switch unplugged, there should be no power to the dimmer switch. But unplug the dimmer switch too and see if the headlights go out. Also, do you have a security alarm? In looking at my schematic, a stuck security alarm relay can also keep power on the headlights. I don't know where this relay is though - maybe someone else will chime in.
  16. Southern? That's a northern MJ. :D
  17. Yeah, that's weird. Dayem straight if someone was coming to pick up a vehicle I was selling, it would start and run at a minimum. The goal is to complete the transaction and the buyer drives it away.
  18. Just ran the VIN on this MJ (still have plenty left). Hope the buyer did the same. In 05, CARFAX reports a "Registration issued or renewed POTENTIAL ODOMETER ROLLBACK ". Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
  19. You need to add one more vote catagory: I HATE IT! It's slower loading, expecially when you're listing items to sell, it's harder to search seller's listings for specific key words, and I've had it lock up my computer a couple of times. There is an option in your preferences though where you can select to use the old style. But Ebay will probably dump that option soon. I guess they have their reasons for fixin' something that wasn't broke.
  20. Looks good but can't really tell because the pics are a bit confining. Can you post some bigger pics of it with the MJ out of the garage?
  21. HOrnbrod

    OMG!!!!

Probably doesn't work either, like the suspension.
  22. Yeah, but Wade's a cheesehead and they always lowball everything. :D I'd go $2000 - $3000 if everything checked out in the pictures.
  23. so you're saying what we all know. a plow truck even with that low of miles, is not worth 8k sooo therefore you're saying the winning bidder was a douche, and we applaud him for NOT taking that thing. I sent an email to the seller asking why it was relisted. This is his reply: JEEP WOULDN'T START WHEN CAME TO PICK-UP, AND BACKED OUT. FOUND NOT TO BE CHARGING, AND I REPLACED ALTERNATOR. Notice the description says new alternator. :D
  24. Me. But I'm not here 24/7 either. If you see it and don't see me or Pete on-line, just send us a PM to let us know. That triggers an e-mail to tell us we have a PM. Please do NOT post in the threads with such garbage. Expect more of it -- on another forum where I'm a moderator, we're getting several every day. Now that they have found this place, we'll probably be getting them, too. :D
  25. Hey, Pete can't be monitoring 24/7, who's the backup or 12 to dump this crap like immediately?
