  1. 'Bout time ya realized that Jeff-man. Stroker time?
  2. Unless you have the Sentinel panel monitor in the dash, me thinks you should pull that sensor and seal it off with a NPT plug. Might prevent future leaks.
  3. Oh damn. You're complimenting the grande olde farte too much! Unfortunately, I tend to agree........
  4. Google MECHANICAL CLUTCH FANS. Will tell you all you want to know.
  5. Roger, thanks.

    my mj

Plus 99.9% of them up north are rust buckets. I don't get it.
  7. Not to steal the thread, but noticed you have what looks like a brand new condenser installed. That's not OEM is it? They were all painted black AFAIK. I'm going to convery to R134 over the winter 'cause it's getting too hard to find R12. This is one of the things I need. Where did you get it? Aftermarket? Thanks
  8. Green wire taps into the headlight dimmer switch so the fogs go out when the hi beams go on. Need to do this to pass inspection. The green wire is factory from the harness which my switch came out of, also listed in the Haynes manual as light green. Oh that's right, UB in VA, land of the vehicle inspection Nazis. :D As far as that bulb symbol above the headlamp switch, it's just a symbol, there's no indicator lamp behind it. At least on my rig there isn't. I was just in there a couple of days ago.
  9. X2. I've been using Paypal since Nov 2000 and have never had a problem. Sure you get non or late paying bidders, but after reporting them to Paypal they eventually pay up or Paypal covers the $$ after a wait period. I use a low balance credit card for nothing but Paypal, so if someone ever does try to rip me off they won't get much. :D
  10. What's that green wire in your pic? Not original - did you tap in on the fog indicator for something else?
  11.   Wow  A stock '89 Eliminator, that is pure $#*& Me think you got the right idea there, It's well worth what you'll have in your pocket, and a lot more on the open market :brows: Good luck on the buy Don, and I hope you tell them what a nice loving home you'll give their baby :D Might even get the price down to the rock bottom  Thanks Bob. Yes, these are rare when they're unmolested. It's pure bone stock - except for the tires.
  12. Cool. How do you know it has the LSD? Open 'er up?
  13. I'm thinking of going to see him tomorrow with maybe $1200-$1500 in my pocket. All it needs is a paint job and maybe a rear bumper, but I think the existing can be straighhtened easy enough. Took a peek underneath today while taking the pics; it has a D44 (so most likely 3.07 gears) and 5-leaf rear springs, so it must have the towing package. I didn't know you could get that w. 2WD. :D
  14. Got some pics today: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Looks pretty!
  15. Yeah, 50s high, 30s low most of Jan and Feb. Nothing like y'all get, but cold for 'Bama since we live in the highest elevation town in the state. In looking at Eagle's posts with his weather avatar, we are about equal most of the time to the CT temps.
  16. Been runnin' around gathering the small parts I need for swapping out the fans today - no chance. Plus I installed a gas heater in the garage today, so I can work in relative comfort. First things first. :D
  17. I remember in the old days the wire outer insulation was impregnated with a rat/mouse poison to supposedly deter rodents feasting on the insulation. Prolly it's not done anymore now though........
  18. Your dog isn't a wire-haired terrier is it? :teehee:
  19. That's the 1993 and below shells. Actual measurements are: Here's one I have for a LWB, nearly new A.R.B. if anyone's interested: Image Not Found
  20. I agree, but the wife did say CHEAP!!!! :brows: You got the point JT. Do not want to seem like "over eager". I'll cruise by tomorrow and see if anybody's home............
  21. Agree with what you say about Pete and his above and beyond labors to keep this site right. Eagle too. Do not agree with what you say about NAXJA. I frequent there almost as much here, and have never been flamed, ever. They are on the whole a good technical bunch, and have found most all freely exchange good info, if it's presented with mutual respect. And no, I am not a paying member. HMMMMMMMM, maybe they just don't like cheeseheads?
  22. Yeah, I can get some.......
  23. No cap or sunroof, but has the rest. Has the original bed liner too. Only rust is on the edge of the step rear bumper where he must have backed repeatedly into something and skinned it. Side moldings are all intact. It was parked on concrete, no oil slicks underneath. This rig has good possibilities.
  24. Yeah, but it's an Eliminator, AND has the cargo light.
  25. I purchased a bunch of the stuff for my TJ from DC @ DC4WDC and his prices were pretty hard to beat. Communication was so-so, and had to do everything by phone (no real internet order ability), but the prices were lower than everyone else. I know he is a vendor on JeepForum and Pirate4x4 (or was). Phone: 540-473-1096 Email: dc4wd@hughes.net X3. I took some time shopping around when I regeared (twice) and could not beat DC's prices including shipping. Yes, you have to call, but no big deal.
