From a previous post on this thread: Tank was from the yard, 'bout $15. Put new pumps on it since I didn't want them burning up any time soon. I'd recommend to also get a new fender liner from Rock Auto at the same time you get the pumps because it's hard to remove w/o destroying it. There's only one way it will fit up in there correctly, and I made a cardboard template to line up the mounting holes, then punched the filler neck hole with a chassis punch. There were holes were already up front in the inner fender behind the headlight for the wiring and water lines; I just stuck a grommet on them. All in all not too hard, and it took about four hours. Yes Mr. Wildman Sir, I have been anxiously waiting for your expert technical input. What took you so long? :D Sad thing is that CRL no longer offers the black matrix glass with their sunroofs, at least not for the 15" x 30" model that I have. The black matrix glass is by far the best sunlight blocker. I like a sunroof for air movement, not for burning the top of my head off. But they do make an interior attachment called a Sun Shade, and that works very well too. Thanks Bob. :cheers: But if I could find a black matrix glass, that would be better..........

Can't open it? Pop-up sunroofs were a factory option on Comanches: EDIT: I may be wrong, since I can not find an MJ sunroof in the parts manual, only an XJ. They were probably dealer installed on the MJs. I think Wade's (89eliminator) sunroof is one of these.

No, there are no provisions for wiring with the manual window models. I've done this mod, and used aftermarket regulators (because the OEM power regulators are junk) with the stock XJ/MJ 2-door switches. It's pretty simple to do, just make sure when you get the switch assemblies from the yard (or whererever) get the power window switch connectors with the wiring pigtail. Then you can fab your own inner door wiring and cross body harness. If you need a wiring diagram let me know via PM and I can send it as an attachment.

Does the starter solenoid click at all? First thing to do is disconnect and clean up both battery terminals, body ground connections, and the starter cable connection. Check out the condition of the battery cables too for burnt insulation and/or broken wires. Your cables might need replacing.
