  1. Hey Tank! Lookin' good.
  2. The emergency line goes from the bottom front port of the distribution block to the T fitting on the axle, bypassing the load sensing valve. That line is the bear to bleed, at least it was for me. I don;t follow what you mean by your statement in bold above. After?
  3. Yes, that looks pretty good. Kind of what I had in mind. Thanks for linking the pics. That setup would be a brake bleeding nightmare.
  4. I didn't read anything about you installing the relay wiring harness. If this is the case your original wiring is probably fried/shorted.
  5. I just checked the part numbers - they changed in 1990. So a 90-92 valve would be best if possible.
  6. to experiment with. Preferably from a 91-92 MJ, but I'm not fussy as long as the valve arm will rotate freely from 360*. I want to determine what position of the valve shaft flat passes the most fluid. I will pay your postage and return the valve to you in the same condition I received it when completed. Muchos gracias amigos.
  7. So what you're saying is you replaced the load sensing valve with a manual proportioning valve then disconnected the 2nd "emergency" line from the rear axle brake hose and the front distribution block and plugged both ends?
  8. I use poly bushings on the sway bar (mounts and end links) for just that reason. But I do not poly bushings for anything else, too stiff. And make sure the bat mount bushings are correct for the diameter of the sway bar.
  9. Off-topic: Jeff, delete some on the messages in your mailbox - can not send you a PM.
  10. It thicker than the MJ bar so you will need new bushings where it attaches to the cross brace. It mounts just like the stock bar. And it does help with body roll since it's beefier.
  11. Did your turn the IGN switch on?
  12. Yes. Here's the list: Year Casting No 1987-90 53005535 1991-95 53008405 1996-98 53020569 1997-?? 53010341 1999-04 53010449
  13. 53005535 is the engine block casting number for the 1987-90 4.0 Renix engines.
  14. That's only for the HOs. There are three solenoids in the AW4; one is for TC lockup. This solenoid sounds like it's cutting in and out causing the TC to lock and unlock randomly. First thing you should do is check the solenoid resistance with an ohmmeter. This can be done w/o pulling the tranny pan by disconnecting the cable that runs from the TCU to the AW4 behind the engine; it's a white connector. Shoot me a PM and I'll send you the AW4 manual that shows the pinouts.
  15. Sunroofs were never a factory option for MJs, but many were dealer installed. I agree: if you are clueless about cutting big holes to install a window in a metal roof, don't do it. This includes me. I had mine installed by the guy who does all the dealership work in our local area doing nothing but sunroof installs. That was about five years ago. It's been through 100s of rain storms and has never leaked - ever. Installing a sunroof is not a good task to practice your OJT.
  16. Don't do anything until you verify the gauge is reading correctly as compared to a known accurate mechanical gauge. The dash gauges are notoriously inaccurate and a corroded connection from the sender to the gauge will cause false readings. My pressure started reading high last month and I changed the sender - brought it back to normal. Verify you are looking at the correct pressure first to eliminate an electrical problem.
  17. Just checked. 68-1/8" front and rear for 0 toe, 6.5* caster both sides. Good to go.
  18. Dielectric grease is a non-conductor and should not be used inside an electrical connector on the pins and sockets. Just be sure the pins and sockets are clean and free of contaminates. You can coat the outside of the connector though to help waterproof it. That gunk you see is probably residue from the paste the factory used originally.
  19. I've always checked my caster using an angle finder on top of a socket that fits over the upper ball joint. It comes out to +/- 1/2 degree of the alignment machine. I set mine at factory +7 degrees using shims behind the LCA. So do your toe and caster tape measure alignment by whatever method you like best, then go to a reputable alignment shop, see how accurate you were and record any differences. Then you can use this data as a standard for future "garage" alignments. That reminds me, I haven't checked alignment for awhile - will check again tomorrow since I just replaced the drag link.
  20. I thought they had already cleared all those things off the beach after the hurricane.
  21. The engine alone is worth the price. http://fredericksburg.craigslist.org/cto/3219253122.html
  22. Upper right corner just below where you log in.
  23. The 91 Cherokee does not have a dual diaphragm booster.

    A Request

Once you find the tank skid you'll probably have to install nutserts in the frame holes to install it Eagle. I had to. PITA........
  25. No TPS reference voltage = no output voltage (as I'm sure you know). Just for grins, check the 5V input to the MAP sensor. It's the same ECU supply as the TPS reference, but the ground points are different. .
