Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

    Yuck.

Just found this... haven't tried one yet and may not. It doesn't seem like my kind of drink at all, but I must admit that the name caught my eye: INGREDIENTS: COMANCHE CLUB COCKTAIL 1 oz Plymouth Gin .7 oz Campari .7 oz Cinzano Rosso Vermouth .375 oz Yellow Chartreuse .375 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur .375 oz Lime juice Garnish:Orange peel Glass:Cocktail HOW TO MAKE THE COMANCHE CLUBCOCKTAILAdd all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and fine strain into a coupe glass. Twist a slice of orange peel over the drink to express its oils and discard. Here's the link: http://liquor.com/recipes/comanche-club/
  2. The red Comanche even made it into the trailer... for a flash... right at the beginning,,, check it out here: http://www.zuguide.com/#The-Big-Bounce
  3. I just watched "The Big Bounce" (2004) starring Owen Wilson. Don't ask me why I watched it. It came on and I was too lazy to change the channel. Wilson's character drives a red Comanche for the portion of the film that I managed to stay awake for. It was red with a white, non-Comanche tailgate. At first glance, I want sure it was really a comanche, but the front end is clearly shown later. That, and the fact that it regularly seemed to be broken down...
  4. oh - you mean that big white bar that says SEARCH in it? DUH just not in the area I was expecting... Should have looked a little harder. Thanks for setting me straight
  5. looking over the new Furom format, I can;t seem to find the SEARCH function. Where is it hiding?
  6. Got it ! Thanks again
  7. Thanks for the link. I had actually read this write-up some time ago, but re-reading it now has given me an idea. Off to the garage...... I would really like to get back on the road
  8. I took apart the upper end of my steering column, and I need some adult supervision. I'm having problems getting it back together. What's the big trick that I'm missing? When i manage to get it all to go together, the key doesn't want to go into the "LOCK" position without a little force. The plunger that is supposed to stick out and engage the lock plate is barely sticking out of its hole. I'm assuming there is some process for setting the position of the little half-toothed wheel that mates up with the key lock mechanism. This is a royal pain in the backside. Help! Oh. 89 Pioneer, non-tilt......if that matters
  9. Thanks for the tip, but that was one of first things I tried. (see line 4 of my original post) I'm testing with the delay module removed and the wires plugged back together. New info. The washer pump is also not working. It worked the last time I used it. The wipers will now work on high, but with odd delays. It is almost like the delay module is I'm place, but it isn't The relay/breaker is quite warm I believe something is shorting out! But I haven't found it yet I'll be doing extensive multimeter tests in the next day or 2, as soon as the schedule allows
  10. will do - thanks for the tip
  11. I need a little wiper help. They died. I was caught in a rain, and they completely failed me. I replaced the relay/breaker...... Nothing I removed the delay module and direct connected the plugs.... Nothing I took the cowl off and disconnected the motor plug. I used my ohm meter see if I was getting power to that point. The switch was in the HIGH position... Nothing Then, when I plugged the cable back together, the motor turned over and the wiper control arms moved, thru about 3 cycles. Then they stopped for 15 seconds, and then made one more cycle......then nothing. Since then, I haven't been able to get any response. Ideas? Does seem to indicate switch issues or a dying motor? Thanks (in advance) for your help.

Blue bench available in Roanoke VA PM if interested
  13. Yet another question: I have MJ bucket brackets... the straight kind. I have the opportunity to pick up some XJ 2-door buckets (1989) in really good condition. However, they appear to be the rounded "rocker" kind. I don't have the rails from them, just the seats. Will they bolt up to my brackets?
  14. I was just watching a bad zombie move on the CHILLER tv network...(don't ask why). The movie is called: Steve Niles' Remains Anyway, approximately 3/4 of the way through the movie, the character "Cindy" drives into town in a Comanche. It is painted like a military jeep - flat olive green with a big white star on the hood She wrecks it, in one of the worst CG animations I have ever seen. For the next 3 or 4 minutes, it is repeatedly seen on the screen... upside down.
  15. my shirts arrived and look fantastic. Thanks Brett !!!
