  1. I've never heard that, so I looked it up. Not much difference. From the Monroe site: 96 ZJ, 37081, Compressed Length 13.000", Extended Length 20.750" 96 ZJ (Up Country), 911524, Compressed Length 13.375", Extended Length 21.000" 92 MJ, 37083, Compressed Length 13.250", Extended Length 21.125"
  2. Yes, eight teams I think would be ideal. It's very difficult to pick the "best" four teams when cases can be made easily for twice that number. Especially with a committee composed of almost twenty members with diverse experience and backgrounds. Condoleezza Rice? :huh???: What genius nominated her? :shake: The controversy is loud and obnoxious now because it's a brand new process for NCAA football. After being used to decades of antiquated Bowl games with an imaginary national champion, then the BCS selection which wasn't much better, it will take a few years to get used to this new scheme. Lots of controversy at first too when NCAA basketball started using a selection committee for their tournament. However blowing it up to 64 teams (+ wildcards) over the years is ridiculous overkill. I'd like to see 32 teams for the basketball tournament and 8 for football. Hopefully that's what will happen down the road.
  3. That's nice. Thanks for sharing.
  4. :clapping: Good show Mike.
  5. I'd pickup a cheap test light first - a must have especially for lighting problems. And yes, the sockets do go bad occasionally. Also check to make the correct dual-pin base bulbs are installed in the socket.
  6. Are you sure? Did you take apart that connection and check for the 12V at the turn signal and brake light pins? If it's there (it should be), then the problem is most likely in the tail lamp harness or the lamp socket(s) in the left tail lamp. Remove the bulbs and check for the signals at the socket pins with a test light.
  7. Try it at a spark plug or two.
  8. Double check your distributor indexing. No matter how many times I pull one, I always find a way to slide it in wrong the first time. Here's a pretty good guide: http://tomasz.korwel.net/2006/12/19/replacing-ignition-distributor-in-jeeps-40l-engines/ Where are you checking your spark? Off the coil, or at the spark plug?
  9. If they should be swapped you could do it at the heater core end since the nipples are the same. Maybe someone will eyeball a confirm of the routing. The 91 holder might work, But I picked up a new one for the 97+ models at the dealer. It was only about $5 IIRC. P/n 55035933. Or you could always do it like this:
  10. That's odd. I used OEM hoses and installed them as shown below in the parts manuals for 1997 and up. The hoses are preformed and are of different diameters, 5/8" and 3/4". One of the diagrams is wrong. Your diagram looks like it's for a 2.5 engine; the radiator is wrong. Anyhow, it's been working just fine as I have it for many years. Anyone have a 97 4.0 and up XJ? Could you eyeball the heater hose runs? Gracias.
  11. This I realize, however they are at the narrowest recommended limit for 31" tires; 8" is the ideal. But I doubt I'll ever go with bigger meats.
  12. Someone edited it! :fs1: But even if this is true I should have looked at it more closely.
  13. Me too. I only wish they were an inch wider.
  14. Me too. I'm satisfied how the rankings came out; it's a whole new season now for the final four. Now we have to listen to the screamers who didn't make it........................ AAARRRGGGHHH....................... Maybe they should expand the number of selections next year though. There's too much controversy picking the "best" four.
  15. LWB Eliminators are very rare. In the condition that beauty is in, I'd keep it bone stock to match the build sheet. These things are starting to take off in resale value. Oh - and park it in the winter. Nice score.
  16. Okay - thanks. The reason I ask is because I bought my truck from the original owner, who stated he ordered the decals from the VA dealership he purchased the truck from.
  17. Adam, I've always thought the "swoosh" decals on the 91-92 models were dealer installed option and came in many varieties. They sure are not in any of the factory parts manuals as part of a trim package, like the Pioneer models and others. I have them on my 91, but they were fabbed up to match the originals since they were not available new anywhere. Did the NOS decals you sold have a factory p/n?
  18. Yeah, OSU had to make a statement and they did, BIG time piling it on. Typical Urban. It may (should) be enough to get them in. Of course I'm a Bama fan, but FSU has yet to lose. I'm old school, so they should be ranked #1. Tomorrow will certainly be interesting. But frankly, the only team I'm concerned about is FSU. Admittedly, I'm slightly concerned about OSU only because they have former SEC coach Urban who coached a group of thugs at Florida to two national championships. But Bama usually owned this guy, so no worries. No matter how it plays out in the new rankings this year's national champ will be an SEC team. BAMA
  19. You guys need to reincarnate Woody.
  20. ^^ Sure is.
  21. Agree - was thinking the same thing. Definitely something GM - 80's.
  22. Bama slaughtered Missouri to win the SEC as expected. Florida State up next against GA Tech. I'm hoping Tech can take care of State and send the Holes back home forever, but I think the crab stealer (below) has enough to scrape out another shallow win against the Yellowjackets. If this happens, it would be sweet if the national Championship game came down to Bama and the Holes. ROLL TIDE!

  24. Your best option is to pick up a used carb from Ebay or elsewhere like THIS ONE and throw a kit on it.
