  1. They are not really that expensive, and I've been giving it some serious thought. Don't need "whole house" power, just the essentials to keep the beer cold and run the heat pump if needed. A small 10Kw propane unit would be fine. With our local Mom and Pop power company, power outages are pretty frequent here, although they usually don't last long.
  2. Would love to have one of these:
  3. Well, excuuuuuuuuuuse me! Does it have remote start also so you don't have to get off the couch?
  4. I broke out the olde generator from hibernation this afternoon just in case. I expected a fistfight from it since I haven't started it in at least a year and a half, probably more. Even with the stale gas it started on the very first pull. Ran it for about ten minutes w/o a hiccup. I couldn't believe it. Also have plenty of beer in the fridge.
  5. THESE helped quite a bit reducing road noise. I put them on in 09 and they are still hanging.
  6. Bummer.
  7. Ever get a chance to look for the column shift cable mate?
  8. Glad you're okay and will have another birthday.
  9. You lived up to your screen name. But what's with the 9800?
  10. Nooooo, that's not Jeep factory - that's Don's factory. No idea what the factory did with tow hooks through the air dam, if anything. Have never seen it..........
  11. The roll pan looks great. Like it's a factory piece only better. Love it. Which bar did you use for the rear sway bar? Looks beefy. I have a similar setup using a WJ rear bar. Edit: Have to learn to read. Blazer sway bar.
  12. It is too short. The column shift cable is ~57" long.
  13. XJ and MJ column shift cables are the same. How are you adjusting the shift cables to have three of them break? I've never replaced one yet, but have adjusted my existing cable with no problems.
  14. http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f106/85-s10-2-8-gas-tank-and-electric-fuel-pump-question-454877/ 2.8 / 3.4 fuel pumps
  15. Yeah Pete, you are correct that the larger cities/towns do a whole lot to alert and transport their citizens out of danger. And you can't expect them to go door-to-door and check every house and apartment. But in the smaller towns and rural districts that doesn't happen and a lot of folks don't get the word.

  17. Yep. Up to build date 1/27/91 used the studded individual letters for the front clip. I've often been curious if the later Jeep set (55295250 is also a valid p/n for the silver letters) stick-ons could be used as a replacement for the four studded letters. Anyone try?
  18. Good question. And what about the the large population of retirees in Florida? Many of these folks have no local relatives, are not able drive, and have physical and/or mental problems.
  19. The media thrives on sensationalism, and outlets like the Weather Channel and all the clones are no different. They glorify the carnage with tons of destruction coverage but do little to aid the victims. If I'm in harms way, I want to see stuff like open routes out of the area, local safe havens if any, shelter locations along the route, and contact info. Sometimes I want to kick the TV in. Property damage can all be repaired; loss of life can not. Please stay safe everyone.
  20. The dash temp idiot light if working correctly should not act "analog". It's either OFF or ON depending on the coolant temperature switch (not sender) setting. If the light is illuminating in degrees of intensity, the temp switch is either defective internally, or the temp switch and/or dash indicator light have funky grounds. Clean the ground connections up first, then if no help replace the switch. The OEM p/n is J3230408; use an OEM replacement switch if possible. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mopar-J3230408-Engine-Coolant-Temperature-Sender-/182633410302?epid=169638040&hash=item2a85ccaefe:g:jBsAAOSwjvJZTEM5&vxp=mtr The best fix by far of course is replacing the dash cluster with one with full gauges. Then you will have full "analog" indicators.
  21. I did a post up on this topic, sort of (you posted in it) and all the images are now visible using the PB fix. At least in my browser. Are you not able to see the pics? https://comancheclub.com/forums/topic/51351-nos-air-dam-with-tow-hooks/?tab=comments#comment-522840
  22. (I love this one)
  23. Thank you. These covers were sold by Mopar Performance up until a few of years ago. They were made in the USA by American Rebel. Mopar Performance wanted American Rebel to lower their supply cost, American Rebel refused, so MP found a new supplier in China. Their new Jeep logo covers look like crap. American Rebel is selling off their remaining stock of covers with the Jeep logo HERE. This is the only place I know of where you can get them now, but maybe Amazon may be selling them too. I found mine locally.
