i've got the brown dog mounts and they are kinda harsh.maybe the softer of the two styles would be better.i cheaped out and got the classic style because the softer ones were a little more expensive.in hindsight i should've got the softer ones.

foung gas pedal at pick n pull

looking for a 91 up cherokee gas pedal and aw4 kickdown cable to finish up my ho head &99 up intake project.

well i'm on the search for a gas pedal.i used the kickdown cable but it's at max adjustment but it does shift like before.it'll work until i can get one.i wish that all the posts on doing this conversion would have mentioned the gas pedal.i was just at the pick n pull thursday and would've got one.

finally doing my 93 ho-head and 99-up intake swap today.ran into a few snags.i replaced the throttle cable with one from a 91-96 4.0 cherokee but it only opens the throttle halfway.do i need to replace the gas pedal itself from a 91 up cherokee?also my kickdown cable appears to be too short.do i need one from a 91 up aw4 as well?everything else is done(fuel rail,power steering pump tps adapter)just these last 2 things.

when i worked at the jeep dealership a few years ago,the only time we needed a case spreader was on the dana 44 s that came in the newer wj jeeps.they were a b*@$£ to get out and put back in.

it's hard to check volume without the vehicle running unless you jump the relay over.i've been a mechanic at a jeep dealer for 5 years and worked in independent shops for the last 10.i regularly check fuel volume with the car running.my snap-on fuel pressure gauge has a hose with a relief valve that i stick in a jug to check the fuel flow.if in doubt have a helper hold the hose ina jug for you.

you need to check fuel volume,not just pressure.if you fuel gauge has a relief valve then turn the hose into a bucket and hold the valve open while running and see if the jeep bogs down or completely cuts off.you can have pressure but no volume.

it also said fits cherokee and we know they are different.

i used the airtex pump in mine just a few weeks ago.i used the stuff in the kit and it fit fine.the oem mopar is discontinued unfortunatly.

my buddy gave $300 for my bed.it was rust free and had only a few ping dents.it also was the same color and pioneer stripe package.

i broke down and bought an airtex pump friday.my truck hasn't started this good in 3 years.it definitly feels like it pulls better.it used to struggle going uphill or first thing in the morning.that's all gone now.it's been like this ever since my mopar pump died and i started using the carter brand.i am going to go ahead and replace the ballast resistor since it is original but i think i'm okay now.

i just had my 3rd bosch fuel pump fail in 3 years yesterday.i called mopar and they said the pump was discontinued and showed none in inventory anywhere.i replaced the gas tank about 5-6 years ago and i relace the fuel filter every 2 years.the federated store will warranty my pump again but frankly i'm tired of replacing it.has anybody had good luck out of another brand(i already know carters are junk)or replaced the bosch style with a walboro style?

we had jcr bumpers available before,but not anymore.glad i got mine before they discontinued them.

i had the reflex sprayed in mine and liked the looks of it but it does chunk up in a few places.to be fair though i throw engines,rea axles,wood,rocks and anything else you could think of in it so i'm probably asking a bit much of it.

it has a large opening at the top where it goes to the column.the ones i looked at the j/y had a smaller opening at the top where the column goes.if yours is in good shape shoot me a price.

does anyone know where i can get a new steering shaft for my 88 mj?i searched the j/y yesterday and the ones on the cherokees had a different style end at the column.any help appreciated.

i'm doing a 93 ho head and using a 99-up intake.which intake gasket do i need?the # for a 91-98 is different for a 99 -up intake.i'm going j/y shopping this morning and thats the last piece i'll need to start my head swap.no,i'm not using a used gasket in case someone thinks.

i agree they probably didn't sell many rear bumpers.that makes me glad i got there front and rear bumper for my mj.i know the price of 2 bumpers is realisticly more than the value of my truck but i like them and i never intend to tow any trailer behind me.i wish they would never made the tow hitch in it anyway as i think it detracts from the looks of a nice bumper.for the people complaining about the reciever hole size,just fix it or remove your bumper.it's not going to fix itself and neither is jcr.

i have both there front and rear bumpers on my mj.i really wish they wouldn't have made the rear with a reciever hole.i never plan on towing anything with it as honestly mj's aren't really made to tow what i pull as the brakes aren't really up to job unless you hook up trailer brakes.i also think it just looks stupid where the license plate sit's but i'm going to fix that with a flip down plate hanger to hide that stupid reciever hole.

i've got a high flow catco converter and 2 1/2 aluminized exhaust with a flowmaster 40 series.alittle loud but i like it.

definitly change the seal.i replaced my balancer with a professional products one last year and my front was dry so i didn't replace it.a few months later it's pouring.i assume when i removed the old balancer and replaced it i disturbed the seal.they don't cost very much and it's already apart so just do it.

apparently the boxes are built on need to have basis.it takes a week or so to do a box.why don't they tell you that before you order one.

i ordered an agr box for the gf's 95 zj and needless to say it was wrong.it had only 3 master splines instead of 4 like the original box and wouldn't fit.i sent it back and got a psc box since supposedly psc is operated by the original founder of agr.it was about $90 cheaper as well.i've been waiting several days for them to ship the box out,don't know what the holdup is.has anyone used psc and what were the results.i used to think agr was good but i've made 3 purchases from them(pump for my 88 mustang,leaked like hell even without running and i resealed it with an o-ring kit and alls good now,steering box for 78 camaro and everything is okay and the fiasco with gf's jeep steering box).has anyone used psc and what were your results.thanks
