Love the idea, hate the execution. Wood for the framework that the hinge straps anchor to? Ain't much of a load you can put on that tail gate without a tragedy and split wood........... Also, he's gotta drop the tail gate each time he needs to get to those light switches.

Yeah, I've been meaning to snap some pics......... unfortunately it's been in pieces crammed in my garage so once I get it mobile again, I'll post up seat photos. Quite a bit of fab went into making it work, but it does fit like it was meant to........it doesn't adjust forward or backward though.

Picked up this little "gem" from a NAXJA buddy. He got big-time buyer's remorse and decided to keep parts of it for his XJ .......... I bought the rest. Used to have a D44 front and 9" rear on 35's. He kept the axles, steering, winch and tires/wheels. He then swapped his stock XJ axles and some 33's to go under it. Specs: '91 Sport Truck 4.0 5sp (originally a 2wd truck) Hurst shifter D300 t-case, flipped, XJ twin stick shifters 8.25 rear, D30 front open,.55's 4 New 33x10.50.15 BFG KM2's on Jeep Ravine wheels JKS sway bar discos Rusty's 4.5" lift with a bent rear leaf causing 1" rear sag on one side. Napier Precision Products fender flares (one smashed/busted) Custom front and rear drive shafts Custom adjustable upper and lower control arms Custom adjustable track bar Custom front winch bumper Custom rear "pre runner" bumper Custom rock sliders Custom bed mounted spare (on hinges so the tire can be lifted up and cargo slid under it) Custom side exhaust. Nice stereo New rear Bilstein shocks Jeep JK rear seat (40/60 split) that serves as a bench seat. Cleverly mounted to retain it's flip/fold forward feature. '98 front clip The driver's side of the body and bed are pretty beat up and other than the seat, the interior is pretty much missing except for the dash and door panels. It's just one of those trucks that's too nice to scrap after being scavenged so...... Plan is to claim the shifter, control arms/track bar, shocks, drive shafts, exhaust, bumpers, sliders and spare tire mount to relocate them to my '91 Eliminator. The D300 and twin stick kit will go to my '87 XJ buggy. Gonna put the spare tire set up against the front of the bed instead of the back though. What's left I'll put together with a 231 t-case, exhaust, cheapie control arms/track bar and some 31's and get it sold to someone who'll hopefully have fun with it.

Hell, YEARS ago. I about choked when I saw that clean gray '92 available in Brighton, CO.......... but the date on the windshield showed "9-28-10". A search by vin under the link to "contact seller" showed it was no longer in their system. Wonder why old listings like that stay in that site's system?

I was just about to suggest the same thing......... Get the front door panels from a '91-'96 Country. I think adding wood to the console and anything else is gonna be overkill.......

Yeah its pretty......... but the build is lacking. That steering makes me cringe..... that much lift on short arms with no drop brackets......and the shocks are too short, damn near fully extended. its gotta ride like crap.

Personally I think that's a fair price for the truck. Anything less would make it a good deal. $2500 would be a steal. I'd definitely question the Eliminator package authenticity. That floor "half" console isn't correct except for floor shifted trucks. Column shift 4x4 trucks got a small bezel that went around the t-case shifter. And like Rob said, Eliminator interior packages were pretty strictly buckets, full console with a floor shift for manual and auto. From what I understand, the D44 rear axle was also part of the package - this truck has a D35. The Eliminator stickers are available as reproductions and the lower silver body stripes look to be painted on. The OEM vinyl body stripes had a pixelated fade to them, not solid as pictured, and they don't go to the bottom of the body either. I'm gonna call this an Eliminator Impostor......... but a nice one. :thumbsup:

Dunno how I've missed seeing this thread until now.........My wife's current daily driver and my weekend play toy: 2012 SRT8 Grand Cherokee. (Sitting next to a $150K prototype Brute JK about to be shipped to Costa Rica)Taken right after swapping out the run-flat tires for much nicer Yokohama Paradas and then having the exhaust resonators cut out. It now looks, rides, sounds & runs even better than stock.:thumbup: Huge friggin' resonators. They're similar in size to a motorcycle gas tank and weigh probably 15 lbs each too. Good riddance! New pipes and the new Yokohamas.... Also, used to have a '98 ZJ 5.9....... with XJ "Icon" wheels....... :D

Yeah, those OEM/Mopar grill guards won't stand up to a winch even with some bracing. Warn is about the only company still offering a grill/brush guard winch combo. Look at the schematics for one of those and you'll see a huge difference in the design and bracing. If you like the look of the grill/brush guard, I'd suggest getting a simple winch bumper, then cutting the grill/brush guard down and mount it to the top surface of the winch bumper. It'd end up looking a bit like this

LOL........ no, that just means he has an add-a-leaf kit. A metric ton pack will have a double set of overload leafs. Also, you won't find a short bed Metric Ton. :thumbsup:

LOL...... whut? The military would be the FIRST to use tires like this. Bullets + air filled tires = no bueno. You could probably put a hundred rounds into those and they'd still function.

Interesting on how Jeep Cherokee prices vary across the country and other regions. That '94 would be considered a real good buy at $3K here in Colorado.

Still for sale huh? 2nd time I've seen it on craigs in Mexico. Wonder what it would take to get it into the states? Massive case of want......

Nice MJ for sure and let's not forget that it being a '92 its essentially 1 of 900-something....... Unfortunately its nothing but a mall-crawler. Stock steering, silly suspension angles. Probably drives like crap..........
