***If a thread already exists where copies of window stickers are being posted please direct me to it - If not, I think it'd be a cool idea just like the VIN registry....... Thanks!*** Had to part one out and found this still in the glove box. Figured I'd scan it and share it with you all. Found it pretty interesting. I have a larger file scan of this as well if someone wants better resolution. If anyone has a '91 Metric Ton and would like this original sticker lemme know. I'd like to get it to ya.

I need to fix a D44 front axle. It needs new shafts. It's under a modified XJ and I don't know what FSJ it came from specifically. Apparently the shafts I need are kinda rare. I'm told this axle was made only for 1980-1981 jeep trucks but part numbers often show application for '80-'92....... What I do know is the lengths. Anyone have these? Or know what FSJs I can look for with these? Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer 80-92 30 Short Left 15.80" 5-760X Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer 80-92 30 Long Right 32.12" 5-760X

H3RESQ's Dream MJ, the build continues...

Here's an interesting tid-bit...... That rat rod truck that is getting alot of photo press for this movie......... was bought, not built for the movie. Here's a video that the owner/builder did in '09: The end is hilarious........ how the guy gets out of the truck. Just found it interesting that the movie makers didn't contract to have cars built, it appears they're buying stuff already made. Certainly keeps costs down I suppose.

Hi...... I'm Yellaheep and I'm an MJ-aholic.....

Given that it's already had the wiring/engine/trans stripped from it, I am hoping to find a '97+ XJ 4x4 that's been hit hard in the rear as a donor and do a complete parts/drivetrain swap. If I find a '96 like that, I'd go that route as well and keep it stock on the outside. For now, I will just get the title transfer done and sit on it as I have a couple other projects ahead of it. -

Then, 143 miles from home this happened............ :wall: I have no idea when or where it happened. I had stopped in Lexington Nebr. to check the tire pressures/add air and all seemed ok. After driving 3 hours, I pulled over on the exit ramp to Iliff Colorado to take a leak and stretch. I went to check the straps and found the wheel missing. I sure hope no one got hurt.......... I was surprisingly able to limp the rest of the way home but that trip got quite a bit more expensive....... -
An addict...... getting his fix...... Saw an ad for the gold MJ in Nebraska 380 miles from me. The price was reasonable for the MJ alone, but the owner had another parts '86 that he said I could scavenge as well and take what I wanted for free. The gold MJ is a '90 2wd and was a 4cyl/5 speed with 94K miles on it. The engine was no longer in it, but it came with everything else. Super nice body except for the drivers side front of the bed below the gas filler - got dented in at some point. The floorboards are incrediblely clean and rust free. No body rot anywhere, just some minor surface rust spots. I grabbed the bed/tail gate/tail lights from the '86. It was a 2wd 2.8/auto XLS with all the electric options (removed and gone many years ago). He also let me cut the rear half of the unibody/frame and axle to make a trailer with the bed. The rest was junk. Then on my way out of town (Minden Nebraska) I saw an Andersons pull and pay auto salvage yard. The guy there said they had a comanche so I had to check it out. It had a perfect short bed with a bed liner in it but someone had beat me to the tail gate and tail lights. The rest was junk or striped already. A good day in all...... worth the trip.

What about the front coils? Are they heavier duty? Or same as non-Metric Ton? The coils I pulled off the MT I'm parting out look beefier than front XJ coils......

Speaking from experience........ If you can install that box tube at a little bit of a down-angle, do. Having that box tube stick out so close below your doors like a shelf is a real pain in the keester during the winter. A wet snow that freezes later can make it hard to get into your truck.... or road wash can freeze..... and you'll be stuck INSIDE your rig. Give the water and snow a way to run off the shelf. Also, if you take it off road and smack that box tube upward, it'll bind the door shut. You're only welding it to flimsy sheet metal and it's real easy to "re-position" those box tube rockers. -
Funds recently have been pretty tight. Hoping to get some stuff sold here soon on Craigs..... stuff (not MJ stuff) that I thought would have sold pretty quickly hasn't...... :dunno: I'll have the 19th thru the 24th off coming up..... perfect time for a road trip. If I can scrounge up the cash for fuel and the MJ, I'll be in touch. If you have any other parts you think you'd want or need for your other MJ, lemme know..... I'm a hoarder..... :D

Dood........ you should make and sell those bed rail covers. Those are secksi. Seriously.

I'm right there with ya Rob. I pay $200/month for a 24'x40' fenced storage lot. In that lot, I have 2 palate racks full of body parts, wheels, etc. Then I have an '88 Ford 16' U-haul van with the back packed full of interior parts, mechanical parts, steering columns, seats, electrical, trim...... UNDER the van I have bumpers, cross members, end caps..... and the rest of the lot is used to park my project vehicles and an 8' Chevy 1-ton truck bed trailer with a lift crane on it where I keep axles, transmissions and engines....... extra tires/wheels get slid under anything parked inside the lot....... And of course, the garage is littered with XJ/MJ parts as is the 9'x9' shed out back and a large shelving unit that holds stacks of XJ/MJ glass...... Yeah, it's a silly sickness.

These are both works in progress...... very slow progress. :dunce: My '46 Olds: My '97 Blazer "The Compensator":
