  1. Man, that's STILL going on? I'd hoped the divorce was long overwith by now. I bought an '88 2wd Eliminator from Dave when all that crap was hitting the fan - he was liquidating his toys left and right to keep them from the angry bi***. He traded in his lifted '92 toward a new JK. The guy that owns it lives down in my neck of the woods - I see it around. I wasn't aware Dave still had any MJ's.... wondering if it's the little red '92 2wd 4 cylinder....... :dunno: Dave had been hanging over on NAXJA for a while but he vanished from there too. Hopefully things will settle down for him and he can get back to enjoying life........
  2. Not hard to find at all...... I've got all of that right here....... in Colorado..... Gray MJ buckets in good useable shape - driver's side has a 3" section of the left bolster fabric that is worn a little and the seats are a little dirty (I could be compelled to steam clean 'em) and they will have the proper sliders and brackets. Gray center console complete with the metal floor brackets and proper e-brake filler panel. I think I can come up with the harness for the lighting as well. Is your's an auto or manual trans? I have the boot or the shifter bezel for either. Would love to figure out a way that's beneficial for the both of us where we trade the parts you want toward the MJ you're selling......
  3. Use a dremel with a cut off wheel. Not a grinder. I'm sure you know someone who has a Dremel if you don't have one - they make short, easy work of removing those pins. They'll knock out easy too using a flat blade screwdriver and small hammer. Just give 'em a couple of moderate taps and they'll pop out. The windshield sealant can be used to cover the holes just fine.
  4. Shelbyluvv, I've got a BUNCH of gray MJ interior pieces as well. Shipping could be interesting on the big pieces, but lemme know if Bhfear doesn't have what you need.
  5. Don't get hung up about cutting off those trim clips. You won't be needing or wanting to go back to that damn metal trim ever again. I've replaced ALL of my XJ/MJ project vehicle's windshields using the rubber trim. Definitely a better idea to install it correctly - cutting off the inner part of the trim that normally goes around the glass to hold it in place just makes attaching the outter part of the trim more difficult and ya have to use way too much of that gooey glue to hold it in place. Makes replacing the windshield a much more difficult job having to cut through and then clean out all that glue. You can order the pinch nut/clip fasteners from Fastenal. Haven't found a real cheap source but they'll have 'em. The local Ace Hardware stores around here carry the "specialty" fasteners in plastic drawer/bin boxes - sometimes you have to ask as they may keep these locked up to keep folks from running off with the pricey little things.......

  7. Yep. MJ doors are the exact same as the fronts on an XJ 4 door.
  8. I've got several of these wheels......... in Littleton Colorado. That's quite a distance though....... :D Now, if you were to swing down to Hutchinson KS on your way and deliver the MJ to me that "starkizer" is selling...... I'd give you all the wheels ya want fo' free! I'm sure you'll find some much closer.
  9. Jeezus. Jim, PM me the next time you have something like that! :D Seriously. Sam, that's a helluva good deal considering you bought that from the auction. That's gotta be an all time low price in the past couple of years at that place for a decent XJ...... nice score!
  10. Got a few things done recently. OEM "Comanche" bed liner: I'm really happy with the way the bedliner covers the dings/dents that were along the top edge of the bed. And discovered that the bed liner provides NO access to the bed tie down anchors..... Fixed. The front anchors were gonna be impossible to get to with the tool box mounted, so I attached some chain to removeable links. The OEM pillar lights were busted and non-repairable, so I found a write up on ComancheClub for these replacements. A whopping $6 fix. Found an S-10 rear view mirror with map lights that I'd forgotten I had and figured what the heck......
  11. That is one secksi rear bumper........
  12. X2. Worst wheel designs ever.
  13. Found another: http://www.bmccars.com/bmc/88%20Jeep%20 ... index.html
  14. Maybe I'm remembering what Kittrell said to me incorrectly. I do seem to recall a NAXJA thread way back discussing 2dr limiteds..... Found this one: http://www.jeepexpeditions.org/members_ ... issel2.php
  15. Seems to be clearly not there to me........ :dunno: The seat isn't THAT far back - most of the shoulder is visible where the lever would be.
  16. Those are 4dr seats put into a 2dr. The only lever those have is for the recline feature, but they don't have the lever to release them to tilt forward to allow access to the back seat. Kittrell says that the leather package was never offered for a 2dr XJ during it's entire production. He defied that notion and built his own for his former '99 XJ using '96 Limited leather seats and 2dr seat hinges. Turned out pretty damn nice.......
  17. So it looks like I have the 3+2 version leaf packs...... Realistically then all I'd really have to keep around is the u-bolts, plates and the two bottom overload leaves to "re-create" another set of MT leaf packs - without too much payload difference anyway.......
  18. 1987 Short bed VIN: 1JTML6311HT123766 Location: Colorado Status: junk yard Specs: 4.0 5 speed 4x4 Image Not Found
  19. 1990 Long bed VIN: 1J7FT26L9LL159906 Location: Colorado Status: Junk yard. Specs: 2WD Image Not Found
  20. 1991 Pioneer 4.0 / AX15 / 231 / non disco 30 / D44 / longbed 5/91 Current Location: Colorado Status: Parted out, scrapped (no title, no engine-trans-tcase when bought) Notes: Metric Ton, Full skid plate package, D44 rear, Pioneer package, A/C. Too far gone body-wise - previous owner slopilly cut the fenders removing all spot welds on the bed. Hit hard on the rear. No title, was used as a farm truck for years. Real shame.
  21. Can anyone tell me if the MT leaf packs were stock leaf packs with an added over load leaf? Or we're they an entirely different spring rate? I'm picking up a '91 long bed tomorrow and it has a "metric ton" emblem on the tailgate and a D44. I noticed that it has one or more broken leaves and I was wondering if I could rebuild them using a stock leaf pack to take donor leaves from. Thanks!
  22. Please do post up the ordering details for those adaptors....... I'm thinking a good rear axle to swap in for a dually conversion would be a 1-ton Toyota RV axle. They're full float and hubcentric. Didn't have a tape measure with me at the junkyard when I looked at one, but the width looked about right.
  23. Congrats on snagging that clean little MJ! I know I've met and sold parts to the previous owner of that MJ.......... at least I'm pretty sure it's the same one. Used to have a topper on it IIRC. Trying to remember if his name was Arvin Martensen or if he was a friend of Arvin's........ Either way, nice to see it's being appreciated!
