i did replace the iac recently , and it did help alot and should probably look at the o2 sensor too (if i win the freakin lotto), but i am wondering about the tps ??

ya, it does idle a bit high, and sometimes it changes by itself to a higher idle yet, but nothing too drastic. and yes. i am letting off completely on the gas when i shift.. this is on my 86 btw.

bent mine on a stump the other day. i know about the zj stuff being a good upgrade and i can easily fix this one or replace it with an xj one, but I'm quite pressed for time these days and would like to know if i can just grab a zj one and have it be a simple direct bolt-on? thanks, shawn.

when i up-shift ( 2,5, 4 cyl) the engine revs up between shifts. i think this is some sort of anti-stall feature and i have seen it on other vehicals that i've driven, but not quite as extreme as this.(annoying) ------- is this just a matter of replacing a sensor or....................

:agree: the ones with the studs (rivet-lookin' things) are the only ones that have any value at all (but not much) imho.

i definitely say no. i had 32s on 2" lift for a while and needed quite a bit of fender trimming. more importantly the control arms were switched-out for wj ones. having said that though, with that smaller amount of backspace the steering may still be ok, but i garuntee they will rub on every bump and not look very good either. 31s should be perfect. if the tires are such a good deal flip them or save them for if you wanna go higher later.
