  1. yes, thank you. i bought one today that was for a newer 2.5 and it had no leads coming from it, but it looked like the right plug (it wasn't), so i took it back and ended up finding that style of plug on my parts xj (95). so i cut the plug off and wired into the leads on my truck, then simply installed the one from my parts truck and it seemed to work but i would have to give it a few days to be able to tell. i think i will go back and buy the one from the newer 2.5 again and now it will plug-in so i will be able to try it. they also sold me an 02 sensor that doesnt have enough wires coming from it and i think i will pick-up the proper one of those while I'm there and give that a try too as i think I'm still getting idle speed changes. the scope diagnosis only pointed to the ait sensor but it couldnt hurt to change 02 as well, I'm thinking.
  2. i guess my question is, since i havn't been able to find one, and aparently i need one for specifically an '86. what should i do ? :dunno:
  3. ...... is there some way to adapt one from a different year of 2.5? another thing is the idle keeps changing, -not drastically, but frequently. I'm amazed by the power this little motor has when its running well, but when its not, if can hardly make it up a hill ----- and there's a lot of hills in my neighbourhood.
  4. ......when it doesn't run great, - which is sometimes, so i took it to a shop and they diagnosed it as an IAT sensor, but can't find one anywhere.( btw it's an 86 2.5 l 5spd 4x4). apparently it has to be from an 86. can anyone enlighten me on this? they said they had pinpointed it right to this sensor. as a side note (maybe) it has been experiencing run-on lately when i shut it off.

  7. it will soon be time to change the steering u-joints in my '86 disco d30 (4.10s). i have a parts xj ('95 non disco). if i understand correctly the u-joints are bigger and better in that axle. if this is the case, does anyone know the part# for the axle seals or what my best route would be? thanx in advance and all help greatly appreciated as always.

  14. its true , they do sit like lions. and i agree with the added leaf. i just did the chevy shackle and while they are a great product, since i haul stuff often, i am now thinking i would have been better off with the extra leaf instead. --- still most likely will add one because i like the "raked" look of nose slightly down. - but the ride is beautiful as-is.
  15. well, happy shambhala !
  16. '90 eliminator that looks like it's gonna go cheap. i'd have a hard time not getting it. -----but i'm greedy that way.lol.
  17. ya, 15x8 off of the tj, but i don't have much for pics atm. same backspascing as other stock rims i believe.
  18. i don't know much about these, but was surprised to see it for sale in my neighbourhood. - seems like a good deal. http://sunshine.en.craigslist.ca/cto/2149613653.html
  19. i very much like the style of those bumpers. infact, i like almost everything about that truck (except the flairs) --- ----- great work !
  20. this one is for vaquaro. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/bnc/c ... 29294.html !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. plus 3 other things: - sometimes it seems to do it when its been driven a long ways. it will just suddenly lose power. but will continue to run fine at low rpms ( and idle fine). - quite often the idle speed will continuously change. -but not all the time. - the heater only blows from the defog vents. ( vacuum leak?).
