well it has been a while since i have updated my build thread but work has continued, i finished up the engine swap with the hardest part being wiring up the rear tail lights. After I wired it up i have been working on it for a while. and after adding some rock rails I finally took it out The only thing i really had problems with was the gearing was a little to high so crawling was difficult the clutch driving was a little hard. it also got mighty warm in the cab. the jeep did very well over all. so it was a good run. :D -
Well my Comanche just underwent major surgery. I just tore out a knocking renix 4.0 and i replaced it with a 4.0 H.O. The wiring and the engine are all 1995. After many hours of swapping harnesses and random parts that i wouldn't think need changing like pedal brackets and transfer case shifters my jeep is finally close to running it fires very well and sounds great. Now the problem, when i plug in the gauge cluster and turn the key on; the oil pressure jumps all the way to the right side and it literally pegs it out even with the sensor unplugged. The temperature never rises above the 90 degree mark no matter how long it stays on. Are these two things connected? Any ideas as to the problem or how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well work continues slowly but it is getting done here is the old wiring here is the new wiring the old engine is on the left and the new one on the right I started putting in the new harness mounting the relay box mounting the computer here are the connectors on the inside that are in the cherokee but not in the comanche part of them are power windows, locks and some other things I'm not entirely sure what else there is more to come later ;) -

ok and yes it is from a cherokee i should have specified -
well I have an 88 jeep renix era 4.0l engine, it knocks badly, and I am swapping to the HO 95 from a rolled jeep on craigslist. The question is with the update to OBD 1 HO engine how much of the wiring will I need from the donor? would it be easier to pull all of the wiring, and using it in the 88? any tips and tricks, or pot holes to watch out for is greatly appreciated. :wrench:

well I might as well post up some more pics I started pulling the rolled jeeps engine i took of the radiator and then the ac I had to cut the exhaust and the front header, it was split anyways and there it is -

well I have a problem it is not good it is an addiction here it is all flexed it is a 94 cherokee it has 31inch trxus mts and a 3inch lift it has been rolled and was all mine for the right price now it is getting parted out the engine and tranny are mine... with that at my house and my buddy's jeep we had a good time more to come later :thumbsup: -

after the fender trimming the bushwackers go on like cake the trimming isn't hard either just start cutting :clapping: me like! good job but doesnt those bracket supposed to be little decline? hard to explain from what in my mind. uh, not entirely sure what you are talking about the frame side brackets will have a plate on the end of the tube and there will be a pinch seem tube also, if more explanation is needed just ask :thumbsup: well this weekend i finally got my ball joints and installed them along with u joints and brakes and my locker then i tried out the locker on a local road that was covered in snow the traction is awesome!!!!!! but it does affect steering unfortunately more to come later -

well I decided to mount a set of fog lights that I picked up for ten dollars at a local swap meet in September they are valued at $60 so $10 dollars was a heck of a deal they still need to be aligned but they look good i also mounted my center counsel :fs1: I am still waiting on ball joints
