who put up ads like this? no real description of the rig itself, but waaaaaay too much info on the psyce of suburban creepinesss. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rds/c ... 36023.html how in the *&%@ does a spouse being prego tie-in to selling a jeep. if anything i guy like that is gonna need a jeep to get the $%^& away from the situation from time to time and get out in the bush. ( just my take on it). My wife is making me sell my dream vehicle, we have a baby on the way in a couple months so I guess I can't argue. About the truck: Jeep Cherokee, Rubicon suspension, individual suspension pins in front end, dana 360 , 35 inch goodwrench crawlers, sound proofed cab, leather seats, straight 6 engine(not the original, upgraded for 4x'ing), automatic 4x4 shift on the fly, low km's (only 7,500km), custom hood, alarm system, cd player, no rust on the body of the truck either. If you love 4x'ing, you'll love this. Call 604 862 4122 -Lawrence please do not email or call me asking if I want help selling my truck. Only people interested in buying it may contact me.

'86 2.5 water-cooled intake? - Where could it be leaking
shawn replied to shawn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
no. --its not the sensors, nor the hoses. ----- seems to be from the under-side of the intake but for the life of me i cannot see it. it's my dd these days so i don't wanna tear it apart. needs an infusion of cash but the forces of evil are working against me, lol. -
haha ----- i have a pic of that red one too. been driving by it for years and the guy finally put it up for sale. -- the kid of a friend of mine was looking for a little 4x4 so i said to get him to look at it, and i just heard the other day that he had bought it -----told him to get him on this forum.

same as a lot of others. i had an xj that i took over from my wife and she got another xj. i put many miles on the one i drove and had a lot of adventures - loved it. then when i found that i wanted a little pick-up to haul stuff to the dump with, i started thinking about a toyota or an s-10 and suddenly remembered that jeep made a little pick-up too. i started searching craigslist and there were only 2 around at the time. so i took the bus down to vancouver and looked at one -then looked at the other , then went back and made an offer on the first one. and brought it home. ------- it needed alot more than i realized but there was something about driving it that was definitely different than any truck i had owned before. i still have it . it's the white '91 4x4 elim in my thumbnail pic. i also had the blue 89 pioneer 4x4 for a couple of years and totally regret selling it. these days I'm DDing an 86 "x" and even though its a long box, - it's definitely the one ive had the most fun with to date.
-
lots of cop-hate in this thread, - and I'm right there alot of the time too, but in balance ive also had a lot of dealings in the last few years with fair, decent, and somewhat helpful members of law-enforcement ( and seen a fair-bit of the opposite, as well). i mean who ya gonna call in a REAL emergency. - the anarchists can only do so much, lol.
-
i totally agree - and well put rob.
-
i would drive over there (if it's worth it) and check it out ------- then ask for it back. and the names of whomever pawned it. ---- all the while making sure the manager know's that you are about to call the cops and have him arrested for possession of stolen property -- your property! you may find out who took it this way, too.
-
couldnt agree more. lame dramatics, lol. --- at least he didnt shoot her dog like that other redneck in that martin sheen movie "badlands" .

i hate ads like this that tell you nothing. --- least amount of info possible with the most pointless picture angles. could be some good stuff for the money though. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/c ... 23033.html

'86 2.5 water-cooled intake? - Where could it be leaking

i will do this in the daylight first thing. ---do you (or anyone) know the location in relation to the AIT sensor? and does it look similar to AIT? -
'86 2.5 water-cooled intake? - Where could it be leaking
shawn replied to shawn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
no . this is an actual water cooled (or heated) manifold. there is a water line coming off the thermostat cover. the leak seems to be in back and underneath, but I'm wondering if anyone had had a similar issue with these. and what might be done about it. -
fwiw when i relocated mine to the tube (slightly lower than center, front), - that turned-out to be the exact same distance as the original distance, so i just used my stock shocks. this is my first experience with this but i don't see anything wrong with this method, plus it will make ordering new ones very easy.

i like ----- alot! what's the interior like?
-
totally agree. i used to be locked-into a classic-rock mode, but soon every classic station just seemed like it was re-hashing the same 30 songs or so. then i went looking for good, obscure stuff from the same area and discovered lots of new gems. luckily once i got into alternatives i found tons of fantastic stuff so now my playlists are awesome. ("morphine" is a relatively new fav.). and lately at night when hangin out it's pretty much all chill tunes though.

:hijack: - i spent a lot of time looking for one of those for an '86 2.5, - but never did have any luck, although the one for the '87 seems to do it. (pigtails needed changing).
