  1. Take old ring with you and compare. Found mine at Napa
  2. O ring is not hard to change, need a 1' star nut to secure it on the inside. Best to remove surface rust and then seal it with fuel proof paint.
  3. Auto Zone has a ball joint adapter kit (rental) that has the correct cups in it.

    ground hornets

Anything that kills them quickly kills the grass, unfortunately.
  5. That dude looks sad, depressed even....
  6. I need some input from those who have swapped the WJ UCA and LCA into their MJ...specifically - was there a particular year (of WJ control arms) that you chose to use? I know the 99 through 04 arms are the same, but want to make sure. Thanks
  7. Hmmm. Big battery in lawn mower with double CCA? if you disconnect the gas line and hard wire the blade control.......keep the key turned to start and you could have a hovercraft!!!
  8. That plane needs more weight in the back.....looks nose heavy....
  9. I too did some research on the octane additives due to the knock sensor. I hooked up the SnapOn MT2500 "red brick' to our 89/99 (when it was Renix), ran the cord into the truck and drove it under varying conditions. The engine did have a problem with the 87 octane with ethanol and knocking, ultimately affecting fuel economy (through the short and ultimately the long term fuel management). We were getting about 12-13 MPG at the time. I started adding an octane booster to the 87 fuel (not so much so for MPG but to partially negate the ethanol) and the MPG rose (over about 6 months time) to 15-17 MPG. Put the brick back on and noted the knock sensor activity was greatly diminished, if not completely gone from the equation. Looked at the price per bottle for the octane additive and realized: at the price of 87 octane per gallon (vs. the 91 octane) we were saving money over the long run. Looking at the prices now it is no longer the case....
  10. Hmm...no interview from the guy who owns the truck. I can hear him now... "Wonder what that guy...HOLY SHIITE!!!!!"
  11. Why am I not surprised? I don't even know where to start. Louisiana has had convicted felons running for Governor (Edwin Edwards); Proported KKK leaders in the legislature (Edwin Edwards, and David Duke - in fact, that year the governor's ballot had a write in "none of the above" which came very close to winning); Just convicted a bunch or legislators for dipping into their campaign funds for 'family assistants'; just convicted one of our coroners (for, amongst other things having a $75K per year "slush fund" on his AMEX for expenses on the tax payers dime); getting ready to convict another former mayor of New Orleans; and on and on....... Somebody spoke about the article being written by folks in Hong Kong....you could be a blind man in a coal mine and still see corruption in Louisiana. Referencing Edwin Edwards Governor's run, his campaign slogan was "Hire the Crook - It's Important" and he won.......really

    Thanks, Gents

I know it may seem like its driving you crazy, but: take it easy, enjoy the time. Get well my friend....
  13. Although I don't live like a 'redneck', I refuse to allow someone with (their) perceived authority tell me my garbage can must be brought in within two hours of garbage pickup (the standard for HOA's around here). I'd rather live in the country....
  14. Jim - tell them to look elsewhere for the fountain of youth...its not in your head! and get well damnit....you are too orney to let this keep you down.
  15. I like Jim's suggestion - go easy first, then try the more intensive tests.
  16. Dammit Jim - stop thinking about that new bride and getting all excited! When all that blood rushes away from your head, well.... Seriously though....let the vampires check you out and take care of yourself! Folks say you can't kill old weeds, but just the same.....
  17. Tried to call him to discuss but got no answer. At the very least I was going to ask him to create an account and register it here so Rob's records could reflect it. Oh well.
  18. That is an excellent link for doing the job. I must have taken these things out 25 times if I done it once...and the thing that breaks the most is the small plastic extrusion on the bottom of the HVAC housing that holds the blend door cable in place. I have had to 'rebuild' them with sheet metal in a pinch.....
  19. Daymn! Had a weak moment, huh? (just kidding) - Congratulations!!
  20. I have the FSM on DVD around here somewhere. As soon as I find it I'll look for the frame diagram and shoot a copy off to you.
  21. "Eh, no biggee. Its the internet, as pointed out. Anyone who gets worked up in real life over something on a forum probably needs to take a few deep breaths" LOL :rotfl2:
  22. We used a sound deadener / heat shield from here: http://www.lobucrod.com And it works great!
  23. I have used both the Spectra and the 3 core CSF. The Spectra does an OK job on Ryan's jeep - keeps it within the specs and has not overheated...but...that is with a newly boiled out, rebuilt engine. When he was running the Renix 4.0 we could not keep it cooled down without the CSF 3 core. I ordered it from the Radiator Barn. I'd go back with the 2 core if I had to do Ryan's again. And, I second a quality aux cooler for the transmission.
  24. UCR stats don't list that level of detail, just the major crime. You should know that, and whether you are unwilling to take anyone else's word for anything sounds like a problem I can't help you with. Let us not forget JeepcoMJ's thread is being hijacked - and frankly - I'm done.
