    I win!

Congrats Rob! Couldn't have happened to an uglier Jeep. :)
  2. There are a LOT of places that sell perches for 2.75" tubes. That is the size of the tubes on a Dana 44. Dana 35s have 2.62" tubes, but the 2.75" ones will work fine since the difference is slightly more than 1/8". I got my D44 (2.75") perches from Ruffstuff.
  3. What we don't see is the b-pillar. Drunk friend could have driven into something, mangling the b-pillar, which made opening the doors impossible.
  4. Holy crap, I haven't added to my build thread in 16 months!!! Well, not much has changed. The truck is still my daily driver. And it's still primer grey. My roommate is the foreman at a metal shop, so we've been working on a rear bumper whenever he has some spare time. The main part of the bumper is done. We're still going to add bracing and gusseting, some side rails to protect the bed, and some shackle mounts. Back in December, I got a new set of BFG KM2s in the 285/75/16 size. They did very well snow wheeling this winter and also in the rocks and mud last month. Also last month, we took out the load sensing valve and put in prop valve from a 4-disc ZJ. It's working well, but i haven't tried a panic stop yet. It's sure nice to have that eyesore out from under there though. I installed a wireless winch control from Roadless Gear. It works, but it lacks precise control. So I'm going to get the in-cab control from Roadless Gear and install it in conjunction with the wireless one. The wireless control would be good for respooling the winch cable. Guess that's it for the past year. Let's hope this next year is more productive. :)
  5. Take a look inside. There should be a numbered plaque on the glovebox door. Or tell me where it's at. :D
  6. The 2.75" ones will work fine with the Dana 35, which has 2,.62" tubes. That's a difference of 0.13", which is only just a bit more than 1/8". I got 1/2" u-bolts from Currie for about $6-7 each.
  7. I purchased a set from http://www.jeepwhitegauges.com/ but I have not yet installed them. Quality seems good for them however. Those are the ones I have. :)
  8. I'm 6 feet. With the side bolsters on my Mastercraft seat, getting in and out can be an adventure. But once I'm in the seat, I'm fine. :)
  9. Here's another one I saw on FB. http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri= ... CPN6NEm6Y4
  10. I believe that 91 was the last year for the dash clock. That was also the year of the more desirable clock made by Nippon Seiki. After that, the clock was moved to the head unit. At least, that's how it is with Cherokees. Maybe 92 Comanches did have an option for a dash clock. (?) Mine had the clock in the radio.
  11. You just have to run three wires - ground, constant power, and switched power. I did this using Go-Jeep's website as a guide. There may also be a dimmer wire, but you reallt don't need that one.
  12. Nice, Rob. :D I'll let Pete know about it. Where is the Thunderchief located? I'm assuming Ohio or Michigan?
  13. I like JP because Trasborg is a buddy of mine and he has used pictures of my Jeeps in the magazine several times. There's even a shot of my butt in the door swap writeup. :) Rob, your new avatar is strangely mesmerizing.
  14. 1310 is the series number and there are several different u-joints within the 1310 series. The specific Spicer part number that you want is 5-153x. And you'll need three of them.
  15. Five-speed automatic transmission?
  16. Try to take the fender off completely and mount the door first.
  17. You didn't mention what year your MJ is. 86-90 have a cable. 91-92 have an electronic speedo.
  18. Wired up a winch wireless remote control that I got from Roadless Gear. Works great and cost $10 less than Warn's wireless remote.
  19. That's what I did. I ran 33 x 12.5 tires for years. Always thought they were too wide, sticking out past the flares. And I thought the 10.5 inch tires looked a little too skinny. So I went with some 33 x 11.5 (285/75/16) KM2s. I'm really happy with the decision.
  20. XJ and MJ headers are the same. A header and exhaust manifold are the same thing, for all intents and purposes.

Here's the one I picked up for $40. It has an HO badge and the backside had a plastic guard so the paint is in excellent condition.

Your wife actually goes to the JY with you? That's cool. I went to the JY today too. Got a really nice tailgate. I don't need a tailgate. But it was in such great shape, I just had to buy it. At least, I now have a spare. :)
  23. I have the Redline Tuning ones and like them a lot. There's also Hood Lift, but I know someone who has them and his hood is buckling because the struts are so short.
  24. I'm guessing that it's 9/91.
  25. I guess SoCal is more forgiving than NorCal. I took that bulb out when I got the truck in '08. I've had it smogged three times and no one ever said anything about the light not going on.
