  1. If you're still looking for a Softopper, here's a tan one for a 6 foot bed. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/pt ... 82074.html
  2. I was at work yesterday and wrote 1/1/2012 on everything. But I am exceptional...
  3. I just took the bulb out of the cluster.
  4. Well, that's another reason I was thinking about a bench seat. I have a lady friend who has two small dogs, and there's no way she's letting them ride in the bed.
  5. Okay, thanks Bo. There are plenty of those in the JYs.
  6. And replied, Remi. I did a search (guess I should have done that first, huh Rob?) :D I see that a Dakota has a bench seat with headrests. Looks like it would be more comfortable than an MJ seat. Maybe I'll head to the junkyard tomorrow to see what I can find. Thanks for the info, guys.
  7. I currently have bucket seats in my MJ. But I'm sitting here in my work truck, a Chevy 1500 with a bench seat and I'm thinking it would be cool to have a bench seat in the MJ. How comfortable (or not) are factory MJ bench seats? Or what other trucks have bench seats that are the correct width and somewhat comfortable? The bench seat on this Chevy is pretty nice, but is obviously too wide.
  8. My MJ was in a JP Magazine article showing how to install 97+ XJ doors on an earlier model XJ/MJ. The wiring was a PITA. Trasborg and I got the windows working, but the door locks were harder to figure out. Then I started having problems with the windows. So I removed the power regulators and put in manual ones with the corresponding door panels. Here's a pic of the glove box door hitting the power door panel. The manual door panels don't have that plastic piece, so I don't have that problem anymore.
  9. Sure, buddy. I'd give you the shirt off my back...or...the tailgate off my truck. :D
  10. Thanks Rob. I'll make note of that. :)
  11. Added a little color to the dull primer gray. I like the blue. Maybe I'll paint the whole truck that color.
  12. Love a good road trip. :D Today, I changed my leaf spring bushings, with the help of a friend and his 20-ton press. Wow, what a difference.
  13. I have an extra one you can have. I'll snap a pic when I get home today.
  14. I have a Durango box in my MJ. It has to be from a 99 Durango with a V8 and 4wd and non-plow. Don't know what the ratio is, but it works well.
  15. I replaced the MJ's mini console with a full console from a late model XJ.
  16. Damn Troy, bringing back my thread from 3 years ago? :) I don't worry about theft anymore. I just keep an extra tailgate on hand. But I do like your idea.
  17. I'd say that the sticker plays to a very small audience. 99.99% of people do not know what an "MJ" is. So to the vast majority of people who will see your sticker, it is a somewhat "odd" thing to put in your window. And it is quite large. But as long as you like it, that's all that matters. :)
  18. That's what I was thinking. I crawled inside to clamp it down and thought "I could sleep in here". Image Not Found
  19. My bed has been taking a few hits. I just received a check for $335 from the last guy to run into my bed. On a whim, I checked car-part.com and found a nice bed in excellent condition. It was in Bakersfield, 150 miles away. But it was listed for $250. I called the yard and they e-mailed me some pictures. My buddy and I drove up there this morning, got the bed, and took it to a friend's shop in town to do the swap. The bed is in really great shape, with just one small ding. It did have a plastic bedliner, so the floor is really nice. What's even better is that the price included two perfect taillights. The new bed is the one on top, with the SporTruck decals.
  20. I have Explorer rear discs, WJ booster and master, and a prop valve from a 4-disc ZJ. Works pretty well.
  21. Moab. Then the Rubicon Trail.
  22. Took the throttle body off to clean it. Found that one of the IAC bolts was loose, causing a slightly elevated idle. Cleaned it up and made sure all bolts are tight. It now idles nicely and maybe it'll improve my MPG, which has gone down lately.
  23. Doesn't look like a Dakota is even close. http://www.kanopykingdom.com/truck_bed_size_charts.htm
  24. I have the bracket for a passenger side bucket that you can have...cheap.
  25. Why would a guy in a Comanche need help? :P Was it a nice lifted silver one? Maybe it was woodkrawler. Or rather the guy who now owns the truck that woodkrawler built.
