  1. Thanks Jake enjoy buddy looking forward in seeing what you will do with it
  2. Thanks Ill let you know the jeep is at the body shop getting looked at
  3. I have a short bed comanche that the previous owner drilled holes through the top bed rail then through a bed liner over it. well removed the bed liner to find some deep rust spots in the top cap or rail. the rest of the panels are rust free. I'm looking for some clean top rails cut to the second body line so i can patch them in Let me know what you might have Thanks Jeff
  4. Looking for a rust free tail gate handle Thanks Jeff
  5. Looks is not everything I enjoyed those videos reminds me of when I lived in AZ i could see the trail heads from my frt door. I love that style of wheeling lots of fun. I too had an ugly 81 full size cherokee but that thing would keep up with all the high dollar rigs didnt mind scratching either .
  6. Wow havent seen one of those in a long time and at that it was in an 86 cherokee, back in the day when I was just an appretice.
  7. check for poss loose ground wire near the ebrake pedal usually the ground was mounted to a ground screw behind the kick panel on drivers side. usually 2 or 3 black wires with an eyelet
  8. The trans would have been an A999 trans similar to a chrysler 904 trans tcase may have been a 228. Those trans didnt have an over drive and I don't remember them having a lock up convertor either. So they were not a good highway cruiser and prettu doggy around town. I did make a good amount of money those years due to the carb problems and vacuum leaks and oh yeah the oil leaks. Have fun with it
  9. here's a dumb question how tall is your comanche from ground to top of roof?I'm starting my mj project but i would like it to fit into my garage still.
  10. Not sure I bought from a guy in chicago who from what I understand bought it from the owner who brought the jeep up from florida. I ran the vip report here at the dealer I work at it was purchased in Punta Gorda fl. thats all I know. You know the Jeep?
  11. This is my newest jeep addition its a 1990 MJ 4.0l 2wd ax15 trans. Was a florida truck so body is super clean interior just as clean was a good find. I will need to fix the headliner and drivers floor and where ever the water leak is. I am a Jeep tech ive been doing Jeeps since 1989 when these trucks were rolling off the truck brand new. All though not a good seller but one of my favorites next to the Wagoneers. Ive owned a 1980 full size cherokee,a 1991 2 door xj I still have several grand cherokees a 2004 wrangler unlimited that my wife never lets me drive cause its hers haha. all of them were modified and lifted. Since ive moved to Chicago my wheeling days are done cause ive wheeled some of the countrys best spots in the southwest i lived in az for 9 years. So the mud does nothing for me with that said and seeings how I can't drive a stock Jeep I'm thinking of doing a prerunner style comanche build. Poss leaving it 2wd ditching the dana35 for a 9in lifting it 5 to 6in running baja fenders and having some custom baja bumpers built. we will see where it goes from here
  12. Looking for a 4x4 main shaft and the rear case for a ax 15 in a 1990 comanche.
  13. Need to be clean no broken or cracked lenses need to be clear not fogged up Thanks
  14. Very nice sorry for calling it gold thought maybe it was that inca gold color used on the rubicons. Very nice and clean would make a good daily driver. I just picked up a super clean 1990 sb still looking to see what direction I'm go in.
