  1. I used the tilt mechanisms from 2 door XJ seats.
  2. I also have the 97+ seats and floor braces in my MJ and have found them to be a good height and very comfortable compared to the stock seats. Where Brett is 6'3", I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum at 5'6". I mounted my seats an inch or so back from where the stock seats mount and still only slide them forward a notch or two (maybe 3). The height is perfect for me as well.

    Got another one

Remi, that can't be a pic of Jim's place. There isn't nearly enough cars there.
  4. Brett, great job getting this truck under its own power. I just realized I havent posted anything on this build, but I've watched it since its inception. Great work buddy!
  5. Just scored the KJ disc brake hardware. Looking forward to doing this swap. Thanks for the write up.

Howdy neighbor! Welcome to the club. Beers in the fridge. Oh, and.....nice fleet!
  7. Her expression is classic!
  8. IIRC, those are 10 spoke turbines. Not sure what they came on though. Maybe someone smarter will chime in.
  9. :clapping: awesome! That settles that...
  10. Digging the MJ. Where in Texas are you located?
  11. Cool video. The music is "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Greig. Easily one of my favorite classical pieces.
  12. Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude.........nice! Now hurry up, your audience is waiting!
  13. You, sir, have a cool job!
  14. Man that looks great! I bet you were giddy as a school girl seeing fresh color on it. I know I would be!
  15. 50's ore 60's...I don't know the history of the trailer or much about old military trailers at all. Could not turn it down for a $100. I also picked up a Yeti sherpa 80qt cooler for $15!!!! An 80 quart Yeti cooler for $15??? Lucky dog!!!
  16. I don't see why not. A barcode is just a barcode, a representation of letters/numbers. The gun they use to scan it just reads it and translates it into the alphanumeric string we see. No different than the barcode scanners in any other business (grocery store, etc.).
  17. Sadly, the barcode is just an added touch. :( If I could figure out how to make it read for each individual truck, I'd make it so. Too bad I don't know exactly how to do that... :hmm: From a Google search: http://www.barcodesinc.com/generator/index.php
  18. How long did he have to wait on all his "motion off-road" products to show up? :D
  19. Is this why I had the feeling they looked at me like an "accomplice"? :ack:
  20. Would that be the 2.5 Litre "Lower Output" emblems? :brows:
  21. Ya know Brett, I'm not entirely sure. I really haven't given too much thought on it. I was thinking V8 ZJ tie rod and a new steering gear box. Kind of the K.I.S.S. principle. With all the work that's gone into this thing, I really don't have any plans to beat the snot out of it and destroy it. So I never considered one ton or or crossover steering. Now, with that being said, I'm completely open to suggestions from you guys. I'm certain quite a few of you have a more diverse set of experiences than I do with upgraded/better steering than stock. My only real requirements are it turns smooth, tracks straight at 80mph and doesn't bind up off road.
  22. You make out with your brother-in-law? :huh???:
  23. Not much on updates as of late. Been busy as all get out. However, I did put a V8 ZJ swaybar on the front yesterday morning. Took a 100 mile trip afterwards and it felt a little tighter. Decent little upgrade. Considering steering as the next little upgrade as mine is sloppyish (is sloppyish a word?).
