  1. The idle air controller (IAC) is a stepper motor that changes the airflow based on the conditions to keep the engine idling smoothly. You should pull it and clean it and if it still doesn't work replace it. The IAC is located to the left of the TPS (Throttle position sensor) on the throttle body.
  2. chrysler parts direct along with many other parts manufacturers list ALL XJ parts as MJ parts as well, so watch out for that.
  3. :hmm: OUCH, I've never seen something like that before from an RE product, I would expect it from Rusty's for sure. Did they warranty that?
  4. you can never go wrong with something from RE.
  5. I don't like hearing that being that I am going to school to become a tech. Hopefully my AYES internship application will go through (not holding my breath for that one)and provide some small promises.
  6. I know that its pretty strait forward to make the earlier 93 down XJ seats fit in the MJ, how hard is it to make the 97+ XJ seats from a 2 door work?

    Divorced MJ

:hmm: They were just moved? To where? I don't see anything on the home page as to where to look? Or are we not able to look? Just curious....... Where not able to. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14481&p=146063&e=146063

Thanks Pete. Thats why CC is the best forum on the web!
  10. what a game! Steelers really earned it this year.
  11. A reverse cut?
  12. Ive seen that numerous times with my experience. Midgrade vinyl just doesn't last outdoors whereas the HP vinyl will last MUCH longer.
  13. what is a 1/4 elliptical?
  14. When things are stuck like that, it always amazes me what pb blaster can do!
  15. I will check alignment then and set it up as close as possible myself, then when I get to conifer, Ill get an alignment done.
  16. Another question: After I lift the truck is it urgent to get an alignment before I take it the 30 highway miles home, or is death wobble not something to worry about in that time period and I can wait until I get to Conifer?
  17. Can you guys tell me what the stock rear height on an MJ is. Trying to determine for sure how much lift I have for determining shock size. Thanks James
  18. That would be greatly appreciated Jeff, Thanks! James
  19. I could really go for one o' these! http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13435&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=dinner
  20. Hoping for the best for both of you Rick!
  21. From what I've seen so far, the fobs will only work on the XJ they are programmed to, so I think that someone would have to program it specifically for your XJ/MJ.
  22. the problem I see is that I have a AAL (or whatever was put in the truck before I got it) lift of ~2-3". So I have no idea what does and doesn't work because of this. Can someone give me the stock height measurements of the truck and possibly the stock shock lengths, so that I can determine what I need. Thank you guys so much for the help so far!!!
  23. It will only see the 25 miles from Denver 2 Conifer. Either I need to use the old shocks on there or I will have to find out what shocks I need before I do the swap. I have approx 2.5-3" lift now, so if I get a set of cheap stock shocks will they work for awhile?

    True use of tools

I hate using table saws, it has turned into the kind of tool that I use when NOTHING else will do the job, even if the table saw is the fastest/best tool for the job. I've never had the saw throw anything (though it tried), but I used to use a saw blade that was pretty thick and it tended to cause a lot of kick back and it would either try to force it back at me or try to shove my fingers into the blade. Enough of those close calls will send you away from a table saw. I probably would be more comfortable if I were using a Sawstop, not so sure about the quality on those though, but safety can't be matched. Hilarious descriptions, Love the damnit tool, and yes that is my most commonly used tool. I lost my 1/4" HF ratchet that way. :fs1:
  25. I tried to reprogram it on the 97 with my old 98 remote (from the totaled XJ) and it didn't work. Probably because we only got one remote when we bought it used. Why do I need both remotes?
