  1. well today it was messin up on me and now it has sat for about 3 hours and i just went out to start it and it started no problem . drove around the block and it was idling at about 1200 I'm completely stumped :fs1: :fs1: :fs1: and what would happen if i ran it without the 02 sensor pluged in???
  2. i will try that but i cleaned it like a month ago and it still runs the same . when it is cold it runs good but when it warms up it starts to idel high and then it will stall out :dunno: don't no what to do or what to check i have almost replaced every sensor and the fuel pump and regulateraswell sa the filter
  3. ya i replaced the iac and i took the throttle body right off and took a toothbrush and brake cleaner to it 4 about an hour
  4. i did and it is at 35 psi and when i shut it off she goes up to abput 40 and stays there and yes i also changed the fuel pressure regulater :dunno:
  5. i have a 1989 comanche 4x4 5 speed with the 4.0L and when i drive for about 15-20 min it will idle at about 2000 and sometimes stall out and when it stalls it is hard to get it goin it almost seems like it is not gettin fuel, i have to keep hitting the gas even thoe it is fuel injected i have replaced the IAC,TPS,fuel pump,fuel filtter,PCV valve,spark plugs,crank position sensor,02 sensor,MAP sensor and it is still doing the same thing. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix it and what parts i need that would be great thanks :cheers:

  7. i have a 1989 jeep comanche 4.0l standerd i have replaced crank sensor, 02 senser , pick up coil in the distributer , pcv valve on tope of the valve cover , 6 new plugs , new fuel filtter and a full tank of premium gas and it still stalls out . while stopped at a light when its warm it will idle at 2000 while cold 300 . i have also replaced the iac and the tps so I'm thinkin ignishin coil but if anyone can give me there input and thoughts that would be grate thanks :cheers:
  8. so far i have got tps problem ,idle speed stepper motor problem , crank sensor problem , coil problem , fuelpump problem , vacume line problem , :fs1: what is the best way to fix all of theses . if i replace them all with brad new parts it shuld do somthin rite hahahaha all the info everyone can give the better :cheers:
  9. i have a 1989 comanche 4.0L 5 speed . i can be drivin down the road ,parked at a light or just idleing and it will stall. i have checked the idle speed stepper motor and throttle position sensor and the crank sensor and nothing has changed . if it is cold it will idle very low and as it warms up the idle getts higher and higher and then it will start stalling out and it is very hard to get started again. it is fuel injekted but i have to pump the gas to get it goin . when i get it goin it kicks and sputter and i have to keep pumping the gas and it will start to run ok again if everyone can give me as much feedback to what might be wrong and how can i fix it thanks everyone :cheers:

  11. ok i replacer the idle speed stepper motor and the throttle postion sensor and it is still stalling out :grrrr: don't no what else it could be if enyone else has eny other ideas please let me know thanks

  13. i have already replaced that . today i also did an oil change and put in a new fuel filtter and put in a complete fuel system cleaning agent to my gas . the old fuel filtter had some restriction when i blew through it so that my have been the problem but if not i have no idea hahahaha the more feedback i get the better and thanks guys

  15. i have a 1989 jeep comanchee and it has the 4.0 liter strait 6 4x4 5 speed and it runs very well but sometimes it will just stall no matter the speed the motor will just die i ll have powerto everything but the motor and getting started again is very hard it is fuel injected but i still have to pump the gas to get it going and when i do get it going it will rev at about 3500 rpm for about 10 seconds someone please help me
