  2. Replace your bulb.
  3. I love the part about "if your Jeep catches fire, something wasn't right. Buy a new one and start over." Anyways, ignoring the diagram because I'm horrible at reading them and it's a super easy mod that I've done before on a Police Interceptor, there isn't any back feed that I've noticed. I've never done this on something as old as these rigs, but there wan't any on the P71. If I have time I'll do this to one of my rigs today and confirm. I'll even grab some clearer pics along the way. Basically you're just tying the ground from the side marker into the front turn signal. If you wanted them to flash at the same time rather than alternate, you'd tie the side marker positive into the turn signal. Here is some more info on this, scroll down to find this method explained. http://danielsternlighting.com/tech/markerflash/markerflash.html
  4. All my rigs have had them, and they have all worked. I also have working spares. The one in my newest rig is by far the best working one I've had, you could probably read it a mile away.
  5. Yup. 97+ front bumper upside down, and a FEY rear bumper.
  6. Another vote for RockAuto. Like already said, look for the hearts and you're set.
  7. I want to say... late 1920s (1927-29?) Model A
  8. Awesome, thanks Cruiser (and Don)!
  9. Should toss that up in the DIY section.
  10. hmm Could have sworn those lights always flashed on all the MJs I've had. Maybe all mine have just had electrical issues that worked in my favor. I'll have to check the '88 I just picked up, and double check my '86. I'm pretty sure they do flash on my '86 though because I had light issues when I got it and I replaced the flashers and things started working normal again.
  11. The corner lights are turn signals as well. If they are not flashing then you've got a problem. Most likely a grounding issue or your flashers on the fuse box under the dash are going bad. When my turn signals were acting strange it was the flashers, replaced them with some new ones and all was well again. And just for future reference. Your Jeep doesn't know if it is day or night, the lights alternating kicks in if you have your parking or headlights on or not.

  13. I did that once and luckily I have one of those magnets on a really long spring that was able to get in there and grab it. So glad my newest rig doesn't even use that location for the control arm so I never have to mess with that recessed pain again.
  14. Not a bad engine by any means since the unreliability issues when it was released was mainly due to poor diesel being sold that contained water. Hard to find since it was only offered for a few years. Strong block, 85hp, 165 torque. Main issue I see though is that it was used in transverse FWD vehicles.
  15. At least the grille is on correctly.
  16. That is an option, though I was hoping to up the output some. Aren't the stock ones only in the 60s or 70s range?
  17. Love it. I'm with the other guys who said they want to go get it just to talk with the guy.
  18. Looking to replace my dying alternator. Found a new 100 amp one from this brand for $75 but wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with them.
  19. Well after exhausting everything we could think of we are back on the road doing what we should have done from the get go. We drove back to where we picked the truck up and rented a uhaul truck and trailer. Which is an idea we originally tossed around before we left home yesterday. Ah well. What's the old saying? Something like "always look smarter in hindsight" or along those lines. Thanks for all the suggestions but we were very limited where it decided to break down.
  20. Sooo... anyone near mifflinville, pa able to come lend a hand? Could also have aaa tow it 100 miles to about Clearfield. I've got the rear main here somewhere in these parts but no tools or oil. Help would be greatly welcome since we are 400 miles from home and to have it towed home is going to be more than I paid for the truck. Nearest garage wants to drop the tranny and make a two day deal out of it. Or we'd gladly pay if you can trailer it home. Give me a text 740 725 4421
  21. Wait, what are we talking about? I don't see anything in the first post but dots and stars... I really don't think dipping my MJ in a lake sounds like a good idea, works well for ricers though if that's what this is about. lol
  22. And there is the true wisdom you were looking for. Doing that just about guarantees they won't see the vehicle as a throw away, or something they could neglect or take risks with while driving. Usually ensures the vehicles lasts much longer rather than turning into a salvage title like 80% of the mustangs and stuff I see for sale around here that were teenagers first vehicles... or worse of course. Just about nothing we hate more than to see an MJ declared totaled in a wreck around here. Cherokees are a lot easier to come by, make that their first vehicle and fix the MJ up. Taking the time to do things right with him helping out, buying parts and stuff like Shelbyluvv said, then give that to him once he's driven the XJ for awhile and learned to respect the MJ. Just my

Also, what browser are you using? If you have multiple, does it happen in them all or only one?

    Flv Malware

Yea, the general consensus is to stay away from McAfee or Norton. AVG or Avast are what we use in the office and even what my uncle recommends who is the security guy for a big company out in AZ. Then use Malwarebytes on top of one of them for increased malware protection. To the topic though, I've had no issues on my Win7 PC, OSX hackintosh, iPhone 4s, or Note 2. So something must be up on your end.
  25. Deja vu A few members have done the 2.8 to 4.0 swap, so I'm sure they will chime in with more info. A better, more specific title would help ensure that they actually look at the topic though.
