  1. Pretty sure all Eliminators came factory with the 10 hole bead locks unless someone requested otherwise probably. Both my '88 (first year for the Eliminator and those wheels which could only be gotten with the Eliminator package) and my '91 came with them. That's also all I've ever seen on Eliminators unless someone swapped them out, which is crazy since IMO they are second only to the turbines as far as MJ wheels go. There are some other 10 hole wheels without the bead lock look that were not Eliminator wheels but upgrade alloy wheels for certain years and some Pacers that look very close to the non-Eliminator ones. Non-Eliminator 10 holes: Notice it is the exact same wheel, just no bead lock look around the edge. Not an Eliminator wheel, just an alloy upgrade option.
  2. Looks like a good find for a grand. Of course no info about it is listed at all so who knows the specs or miles. it does appear to be column shift though.
  3. Which those are the Eliminator rims. Fake bead locks. 10 holes. Whatever you want to call them.
  4. I think they meant the fake bead lock studs.
  5. Not to be naive, but the pans won't switch? I thought 2.8s were basically the same no matter the year other than internals, external accessories, and how it got fuel? Enough people have done this without mention of this problem, so I don't have a real answer. :dunno: Of course the 2.8 is one thing I know next to nothing about since it's a Chevy thing and was never found in K-10s or 1st, 2nd, and 4th Gen Camaros, which is about all I know of Chevy stuff (I specifically left the 3rd gen out which I do know it came in but nothing else about that gen).
  6. I "sticky" what I think are useful posts in the DIY section to try to cut down on all the repeat questions that pop up all the time. It's far from complete, but folks should look for answers to often asked questions there first. Maybe you should sticky that eh?
  7. lol Never noticed that. Talk to Johnny about that, he made em. Topic
  8. Let me know too if ya don't mind, Don. Want to do this same thing eventually, didn't think a plug existed. Was just always going to patch the hole before painting the entire rig but would rather do it this way.
  9. Just stickers, not emblems. Though I'm not sure they can be gotten anywhere either. I could swear I ran across some not too long ago, let me go digging through my bookmarks. EDIT: Just took a look through all my bookmarks but I couldn't find any except the large decal packages for YJs. Very simple decals though, could hit up a local vinyl shop or give Spencer at jeepsticker.com a try to get some made. All you'd need is some clear images of them. Club member made this (should be all gold like the fender ones, and it goes on the rear window in the lower right corner): And then this is the best pic I have found of the fender ones (gold on clear background): Maybe you didn't need the pics, but figured they might help if you need to have some made.
  10. I personally like the molding because of the protection it adds. People around here do not care at all about others vehicles. My mom's 2011 Yaris got a door slammed into it somewhere she was at after only having it for a few months, very noticeable on a white vehicle. Last thing I want is someone doing that to my MJ along the bed or something. I have a full set of factory chrome trim in my garage waiting for the day I have an MJ worth putting a fresh coat of paint on. Of course I gotta get the factory tape off the back first, and that stuff is really on there.
  11. Yup, would need to be repainted. Totally ruins the nice lines those things have going for them. Can't say I really like the bright white anyways, I'd paint it all the off-white with black fenders and call it good. Would need to track down a bumper though, always thought the fronts looked a bit weird without one.
  12. I notice that the tail lights have orange to them hidden inside those middle circles...
  13. Same price as the Rusty's kit. I'd rather grab the Mopar ones if I could for the same price like that.
  14. Looks awful. I've got nothing more that comes to mind.
  15. http://comancheclub.com/topic/40027-92-mint-condition/ I'd buy it ...if he still had the factory wheels (mint), it had a rear factory bumper, only 100 miles on it, he got the graphics put back on the tailgate and the side, and swapped it to an auto. Also if he could provide better pics because taking them with a crappy phone held the wrong way and a blurry one does not equal pictures. Oh, and I actually had a use for it because I wasn't so busy flying around in my personal jet, to get on my personal helicopter, to fly out to my yacht parked in the Caribbean. Somebody has been watching too much Barrett-Jackson and whatnot me thinks...
  16. They should. I can't say for sure exactly where, but I'd guess they use the same holes as the bumper mounts like the after market ones. You'll have to do away with the air dam below the bumper or modify it.
  17. They fit, everything from the cab forward is the same between XJ and MJ. The differences start at the back of the cab, and specific things like cross member location on the floors and seat brackets. Several companies make some brackets for the XJ/MJ that you can use D-rings instead of tow hooks as well.
  18. Nope, offered for several years and on top of different trims so I've heard. All SWB 2WD is about the only thing you can truly count on them being unless someone digs up some brochure on them or something to get us a list of standard options. Some had sunroofs and some didn't. I've seen pics of red, white, and black ones as the factory exterior colors. Interior I've only seen tan or black listed. Most had the grille like above, but I've seen the standard 10 and 8 slot as well.
  19. Not true, some had tan interiors. http://streetcomanches.zohosites.com/25-of-100.html Like all things AMC/MJ, there were always oddities year to year.
  20. Yup, that's a Street MJ or at least everything points to it being one (moldings, wheels, grille, bumpers) Need to find out what number that is since only 100 were made.
  21. The fronts...yes. The rear XJ flares on a 2 door are the same as 4 door flares. So XJ specific. The OP would be better off fixing the brackets, and repainting the flares IMHO Well I have both an MJ and a 2 door XJ I don't have a humble opinion....but these guys do... http://www.napierprecisionproducts.com/V2-Jeep-Comanche-MJ-Cherokee-XJ-2-Door-Fender-Flares-Black-V2-B-2DR.htm http://www.bushwacker.com/instructions/10912%20JEEP%202D,COMANCHE.pdf http://www.quadratec.com/products/72506_801_07.htm http://www.quadratec.com/products/72506_801_07.htm The reason those ones are listed for both the MJ and 2dr XJ is that they are cutout style flares. So the body is hacked up for both the MJ and XJ so they both fit the same in the end.
  22. Hold down brackets? Are we talking about those rusty pieces of metal that the bolts go through? Solution around that is to just use stainless nuts, bolts, and fender washers. Works perfectly, I've done it on two or three MJs.
  23. Seems pretty pricey. Might be worth it though for something so rare that had a frame off restoration. ;)
  24. Looks to be an Eliminator too.
