I acquired a 1990 Comanche Eliminator, 2wd, 4.0 auto, about three years ago for $0. It had been abandoned and picked up by a buddy (wrecker company), long story short he gave it to me. It has sat in the garage waiting for me to make my mind up and money. I have been lurking for awhile and will be using quite a few peoples builds as references: Wrenches gone Wild/Mild, Drahcir495's Build-up, Project Onyx, to name a few My intentions are to have a dependable truck that looks decent and functions properly that can be possibly passed down to my grandson(jury still out on that one). Things that I want to do: '97+ front clip - looking '00 Cherokee Doors - have '00 dash - have '00 interior - have '00 wiring - have POR15 floors updated windshield moulding and windshield 2500 taillights - waiting for LED interior/exterior lights, except headlights - working on fresh paint , Gun metal grey new decals(vinyl) "ELIMINATOR"bed, "JEEP" front/back, "COMANCHE"fenders (old style font) no gradientImage Not Found new undercoating updated rear bumper Image Not Found powdercoat bumpers showbar, black ????? removal of any and all chrome, sorry Hornbrod Liberty lightbar ??Image Not Found 4.0/AW4 rebuild (undecided)thanks Bo 4.3/700R4 ?????? - have 8.8 axle - have complete rebuild the suspension (bushings, etc) powdercoat clear or black chrome wheels Image Not Found original truck pictures Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found

powder coating/ceramic coat borla? any ideas?
90MJext replied to JeepcoMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
cost for a pound 36.00 applied with a powder coat gun. but as with everything be prepared to not get a warranty because the header is used due the expanding /contracting of the metal the is a really good chance that the coating, whether powder coat or ceramic, will not stay on. -
powder coating/ceramic coat borla? any ideas?

FWIW It can be powdercoated but will have to use high temp powder. I checked a dist. who sell 1000 degree that is used on headers. -

Electric Wiring/Grounding
90MJext replied to summerinmaine's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I use a fuse block similar when outfitting patrol units with emergency equipment. it has six outputs w/ common power lug and at one end ten spade and a ground lug. I agree with Hornbrod about using the correct wiring. Also use at least butt connectors and shrink tubing, stay away from wire nut, no matters how tempting. use them and your truck will burn,. -
12 years Army/National Guard medic/electronic repair. Thanks for stepping up.

Re-up your crazy... re-up your outa your mind...... Know any 45K's?? Wow! Re-up and a re-thanks! Seriously, that is very admirable. Be safe... don't take that wrong way G-man.. What I wrote is a marching cadence that is well known in the Army. Not that I think hes crazy for re-enlisting.. But I bet if he was in another post he might rethink the re-enlistent.. :D I was in the 3rdID I think Ft Carson is the 4thID.. I don't know his MOS but I'm betting its has to do with como looking at his SN. If thats the case I doubt he knows wth 45 kilo is or does, which was my MOS. I don't know if he is como but he is wearing a Combat Medic Badge. Cyperwulf congrats and be careful.

In my area there is no gas on the west end of town, but I've heard if you go towards lower populated areas you can find it.

I'll take it if no one gets it

Agree with all above.

The state of Georgia changed the state flag also, which makes no sense. Why change something that has been around for a long time and has become accepted to something that looks like no one could make up there mind. Oh wait, I know, everyone is trying to be so d*** politically correct that everyone is walking around on eggshells afraid to hurt some ones feelings. Maybe that part of the problem a lot of people's skin is too thin. "Say what you mean, mean what you say" Sorry for the rant
