Ba10 To Ax15, Now Tcase Linkage Isn't Right?
HKB3 replied to Oddmodman's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
When I did mine I swapped the linkage from the donor XJ, it's been a few years so I do not remember if I had to modify anything else.- 15 replies

I'd be happy just to find a stock black bumper in great shape.

2 door XJ bed side patch panel trimmed to fit 2 door XJ outer wheel house

None of the pics in that link work. I already have the XJ sheet metal, the XJ is not the same as a Comanche. I was able to use the bed side sheet metal but the wheel house is not even close and I don't have an English wheel and/or planishing hammer to fab up one not to mention time. pics to follow

Looking for red interior pics I found this: Nice body/paint, the suspension & wheels not so much

Looking for ideas to repair/replace/modify/something the outer wheel house. I have a patch panel for the bed side ready to go. I am not sure what I want to do to attack the outer wheel house(the sheet metal between the bed side and the inner bed.) mine has Swiss cheese rust. Right now my options are: 1) continue patching what I have, although I don't like the idea of all those seams 2) modify something from another vehicle to fit, less welding/less seams 3) remove it completely, the only problem I see with this is no support/bracing for the bed side. Looking for ideas from what others have done so post them up.

It is "Cummins" btw. And a 6bt would be a 12valve pre 98(in a dodge) IMO I would steer far away from any 6.0L ford unless you know it's complete maintence/repair history AND it has had the egr cooler and head gasket issues taken care of. For dodge make sure you go over the front end with a fine tooth comb, you will also want to have the injector pump checked especially if you are looking at a truck with the vp44 pump. And look for rust on the dodges also, the doors and rockers like to rot.

In Maryland you have to be a licensed dealer or go through a broker to buy from copart.

How? The fuel tank is mounted inside the frame rail. I am not saying a LWB tank will fit into a SWB but the tank is nowhere near coming in contact with the tire. I looked at doing this myself when I replaced my fuel tank but I needed the use of my truck so I just went with a stock replacement tank.

I went there once, it seemed sketchy to me. I followed the actual county road back to where the "trail" starts and did not take the risk. IMO it is not worth it being that it is less then a mile long anyhow. I'd rather take the trip up to rasch creek or for some mild trails GWNF/Monongahela NF in WV.

I have missed two on Craigslist for under $500, hopefully I can pick up one for a deal if I come across another. If not i will probably bite the bullet and buy a new one this winter.

Looking for an ARB bull bar with winch mount

Looks like a stock bed with the sides removed and replaced with sheet metal. If you look close you can see that the liner is a factory "Comanche" bed liner.
-
Being a 2wd in that condition I would say sub $600

I don't know what they are smoking......

The red four door comanche is usually at the York Jeep show in July. One of these days I'd like to build a more door MJ myself but with proportions that look more "right". The red one just looks too long

I'd sell you mine for $500 and it is still in the truck so you can hear it run and drive it. It is a 92 and in a Comanche, 2.5/AX-5. It is 2wd but I will include a 231(21 spline)
