  1. I bet nobody would tailgate you on the highway...
  2. Mmm, yea. Best cut of meat I ever had was deer tenderloin cut about 1.5 inch thick, and my dad and a friend of his delivered it to my wife and I in the hospital after my daughter was born. It melted in my mouth...it was the perfect dinner for that day. (They also snuck me in a sixer of natty!)
  3. I always liked the look of these wheels on my XJ, but they were 15x8 and I needed 10 inch wide wheels. and.....uhh...here's the wheels on my MJ...they aren't going to be on the truck when it's done...

    ... wow

My ears are ringing from all the turbo spooling
  5. Run it off a CO2 bottle. If installed correctly, they should hardly use ANY air. Ask your installer about running it off a bottle. Also, when you get the ARB, spend the extra $50 or so and get the HD air line. It's a tough rubber line with a metal fitting at the end, so you don't have a rinky little blue line running down there.
  6. Everything sounds cool to me except the 9" rear. Are you sure you'll need a rear that strong and heavy for this? I think you could get by with something lighter since you won't be doing hard launches with the truck. Unless you plan to drop the diff out of it to put in more streetable gears during the 'off-seasom'. Thought about using a Toyota rear axle?
  7. Sounds like a sweet project, can't wait to see where you go with it.
  8. My little brother dumped 2 quarts of oil in the engine before he realized he didn't put the plug in...not the same. My washer fluid fill and my radiator overflow are right next to eachother on my Dakota, and one early morning I dumped a bunch of washer fluid in the rad overflow...oops. (no problems out of it though)

    bingo!!!!!!!!!

Beer and Diapers! I have my own square! As far as the oblivious person in the free square...I get road rage when I get behind the controls of a shopping cart....I've nudged other carts out of the way, and t-boned a couple that came out of the aisle in front of me as I was walking. I make haste. Also, a guy I used to work for HATES wal-mart, so he told his wife that if she ever made him go, he'd act retarded. She made him go, he drug one leg, stuck one arm to his chest, crossed eyed and drooling as soon as they got inside  ....she never made him go again.

    What to do?

We'll still think you're cool! (Well, me, at least. For what it's worth.) It'd be hard not to go for it, as long as the thing is in decent shape, and can be fixed up. Post pics!

    Why all the Hate?

Pick your poison. I'm a sucker for those old round tail-lights, 15 inch wheels, and wide-assed tires. Split bumper or no.

    Why all the Hate?

Man, the paint on that car looks awesome, if only it were on an early 2nd gen camaro, and not a $1200 80's heap. (edit-just the paint, not the wheels, lambo doors, or plush interior.) Edited both my posts because I realized it's not a Monte, it's a Cutlass.

    Why all the Hate?

I love those black DC1's, but I just think they look a little silly, and monster-truck-wanna-be-ish on that MJ. I'll be putting black dc1's on mine, but they won't be that huge... I think it's funny that 20's used to be HUGE wheels, and now 20's look normal on stock trucks, and people are putting lift kits and 28" wheels on Cutlas'.... :ack: But hey, I don't knock other peoples hobbies. Not everyone's cool enough to jeep.
  14. Awesome pics, Pete. Can't wait to hear from W.F.C. Any story behind why this is such a secret little hole in the wall? It seems they could make some cash putting this stuff on display.
  15. Maybe I'd just go back in time and buy the Mayflower, George Washington's wooden teeth, Abe Lincoln's top hat, Benjamin Franklin's kite, and a box of original dosi do's from a girl scout.
  16. That's exactly what I did on that one! For some reason, my first instinct on most of these levels is to build a truck that can drive the balls to the goal...
  17. I had a lot of fun with this one. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=4401267 Now I'm going to play stick archer a little more... :headpop:
  18. But then you would've never made the post, thus never would've gone back to make sure you didn't! You'd be stuck in a loop!
  19. I'd buy 3 hard top '71 hemi cuda's 1 convertible '71 hemi cuda Then I'd buy a car that I could actually drive hard, in good conscience. A 71 or 72 road runner with a 440. I'd sell the three hard top cuda's (and buy a small island with the money), and keep the 'vert in my living room. The RR would be a killer fun daily driver, since they're not worth a ton. *beep beep*
  20. So a few months back, I bought the correct trans-am mount for this tranny. Hooked it up tonight, and my mind is much more at ease. While I was under there, I drilled out the weak old aluminum threads on the tail cone and put helicoils in, so that makes me feel better too.
  21. I was thinking about that as I was doing it. There are little rubber bushings between the tubing and the tail shaft, but I don't know if that'll be enough. The engine mounts have rubber in them, but they're really hard and they don't move at all when I rev it. I don't know if the tranny will flex enough with those thick rubber washers, or if I need an entire rubber mount.
  22. Today I messed with the cross member and got the engine/tranny at the correct angle. When the truck sits flat, the transmission points down at approx 1.5 degrees. If I decide I want to hike up the rear, it'll be easy to drop the tail shaft a little more. I wish I needed to do some more fancy fab work to get it to work, but I had this piece of tubing that was exactly the right size.... Image Not Found That's the only picture I have of the ST10 transmission. That's the only part of the truck I'll swap out to keep if I sell it. It's getting too hard to find those transmissions. Here's where the shifter is now, much more comfortable. I'll at least paint the piece of tubing so it doesn't look all bubba-joe'd up.
  23. I'm really sorry to hear it, man. I've got a bunch of uncles working at the plant here in St Louis that's closing. Luckily they know how to do other things. I hope you find luck in another career, maybe you'll find something you like more.
  24. +me too That doesn't look like one of the MJ vac hoses. All of mine were thinner and more plastic than rubber.
